CORE JOB SUMMARY
The Executive Recruiter manages the recruitment and hiring of physicians and executives for the University of Miami and its Health System (UHealth). This role develops and implements recruitment strategies, collaborates with leadership on complex searches, and leads recruitment initiatives.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
- Manages full-cycle executive recruitment services for leadership and internal recruitment partners.
- Partners with hiring managers and interview teams to develop and refine job descriptions, ensuring job requirements and expectations are clearly understood and candidates are assessed against appropriate criteria.
- Coordinates advanced recruitment activities with departments, including advertising recommendation/placement, alternative candidate sourcing methods (i.e., mailings, email campaigns, social media, etc.), recruitment and educational events, national and regional association conference exhibitions, promotional materials, etc.
- Oversees applicant tracking system process and development/maintenance.
- Maintains effective working knowledge of the health system and regional communities to assist with candidate inquiries.
- Prepares employment offers in collaboration with departments and in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Collaborates with leadership to ensure department resources are continually updated including forms, websites, and other materials.
- Seeks out new ideas and best practices in physician and executive recruitment and supports leadership in the implementation of new recruitment initiatives.
- Completes assignments for leadership which require collecting, organizing, and analyzing data and producing reports which may be the basis of significant decisions by senior leaders.
- Exemplifies excellent customer service and communication in interactions with executives, and staff, as well as demonstrates critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Maintains up to date knowledge and compliance with federal and state fair employment laws and guidelines and files all documentation in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
