About the Team

Our STMJ (Science, Technology, and Medical Journals) team publishes high-quality, peer-reviewed research that drives progress across scientific and medical disciplines. We collaborate closely with authors, editors, reviewers, and societies to ensure the integrity and impact of the published work. Through innovation in editorial workflows and publishing technology, we help global research communities discover, evaluate, and disseminate knowledge that advances science and improves lives.

Responsibilities

Portfolio Management and Development

  • Developing and implementing strategic plans for the portfolio, ensuring alignment with both team and broader organizational strategies;
  • Collaborating with editors, authors, editorial boards, and the academic and medical communities to ensure seamless journal operations;
  • Negotiating and managing contractual relationships with journal editors and societies. Maintaining and enhancing the existing portfolio, keeping pace with external market developments, including the advancement of Open Access and Open Science initiatives;
  • Conducting ongoing quality control and monitoring of all editorial, production, and publishing activities, actively addressing areas requiring improvement;
  • Achieving portfolio-related objectives concerning content growth, market share of articles, citation share, relative impact factor, editorial turnaround times, and satisfaction levels of authors and editors;
  • Managing the editorial fees budget and other overarching processes, including projecting article growth;
  • Demonstrate expertise in data collection, presentation, and interpretation.

Relationship Management and Networking

  • Establish, manage, and sustain strong connections and networks with key external stakeholders, including editors, authors, society representatives, university leaders, and industry professionals, to understand their professional and organizational needs and stay informed on market developments;
  • Establish, manage, and maintain excellent relationships with key internal stakeholders, including editorial, production, publishing, marketing, and technology teams, coordinating activities to meet the portfolio's needs and support its development.

  • Knowledgeable about technology, social media, and content enhancement in academia;
  • University degree - essential;
  • Solid experience in publishing
