Your New Role


CNN Global Productions is seeking an Executive Producer based in Abu Dhabi to shape and deliver premium storytelling across the Middle East. This role plays a central part in developing sponsored and unsponsored feature content that reflects the region’s complexity, creativity and global impact. You will guide multi-platform productions from concept to delivery, working closely with regional and global partners to bring distinctive stories to CNN’s audiences. Your Role Accountabilities

  • Oversee the delivery of CNN Global Productions content across the Middle East, ensuring premium editorial quality and operational excellence.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing sponsorships and develop new programme, show and series concepts.
  • Devise content strategies for sponsored and unsponsored feature campaigns using audience insights and performance data
  • Commission and oversee multi-platform content from pitch to wrap, including productions filmed on location across the region and internationally.
  • Partner closely with CNN editorial teams, section editors and on-air talent to align projects with wider editorial and audience growth priorities.
  • Coordinate production planning, logistics and risk management, ensuring compliance with CNN Standards & Practices and regional regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee production budgets, tracking spend throughout campaigns to ensure delivery on time and within agreed targets.
  • Act as a senior editorial liaison with network leadership and, when required, cover responsibilities for the Executive Director of Content Creation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Extensive experience in an editorial leadership role within digital-first, multi-platform content creation, with a background in producing and commissioning premium feature content across news, business, travel, style and sport for a global audience.
  • Deep Middle East regional expertise, including business and economic literacy, awareness of regional geopolitics and security considerations, and strong cultural understanding.
  • Strong knowledge of international newsgathering and feature production practices, including editorial standards and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide, support and develop multi‑disciplinary editorial teams while delivering content against defined performance goals and audience insights.
  • Arabic and/or other regional languages are desirable.
