What the Role Entails
We are seeking an experienced Executive Producer to join us and lead production partnerships with one or more European-based external studios. In this role, you will be responsible for driving project excellence, aligning teams around shared goals, and ensuring our partners have the support they need to deliver outstanding games.
You will:
- Act as the primary production counterpart to external partner studios, building strong, trust-based relationships.
- Support teams in reaching their creative and technical quality targets through clear feedback, collaboration, and problem-solving.
- Travel regularly to partner studios to maintain alignment, unblock challenges, and strengthen working relationships.
- Drive project tracking and reporting, including milestone reviews, deliverable evaluations, and risk assessments.
- Ensure production planning aligns with contractual obligations, scope, budget, timelines, and quality expectations.
- Monitor key project KPIs and proactively identify risks and issues, proposing actionable solutions.
- Liaise with internal Tencent teams (Product, Art, Tech, Data, QA, Compliance, Publishing, Marketing, Legal, Finance, etc.) to provide integrated support to partner studios.
- Coordinate support requests, ensure smooth workflows, and facilitate alignment between internal teams and external developers.
- Work closely with External Development teams to ensure smooth execution and high-quality delivery.
- Advocate for partner studios by ensuring they have the resources, clarity, and guidance needed to deliver their best work.
- Champion healthy production practices to enable sustainable, long-term team performance.
- Promote a collaborative, open communication environment where issues can be raised early and constructively addressed.
- Prepare regular project updates, dashboards, and presentations for senior management.
- Ensure stakeholders have clear visibility into progress, risks, dependencies, and upcoming decisions.
Who We Look For
- 10+ years of game production experience.
- Shipped multiple high-quality titles; experience with AAA action, shooter, multiplayer, or systems-driven games is a strong advantage.
- Proven track record working with multi-site and multicultural development teams.
- Experience with premium titles and/or live-service models is an advantage.
- Strong production discipline, including milestone management, scope control, and risk assessment.
- Ability to evaluate gameplay quality, pacing, progression, and feature integration.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across all levels.
- Ability to influence without authority and align diverse teams toward shared goals.
- Passion for games and a solid understanding of both creative and technical development processes.
- Proactive, calm, and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Collaborative, culturally aware, and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
