We are actively searching for an experienced and energetic manager to become Executive Meeting Manager of Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco!

The Role – Overview

Position Overview the Executive Meeting Manager is a hybrid role combining Group Sales and Convention Services responsibilities. This position is responsible for selling group business, managing key planner relationships, coordinating all program details, and ensuring seamless execution of group events. The ideal candidate is a proactive sales professional with strong operational follow-through, able to drive revenue while delivering exceptional service aligned with Four Seasons standards.

Sales & Business Development

  • Promote and secure business from key meeting planners and top accounts.
  • Nurture existing accounts to maximize revenue while proactively soliciting new group business for the hotel.
  • Identify and target group customers that generate incremental revenue without conflicting with WSO efforts.
  • Prospect using a variety of resources, including company-wide programs, prospecting tools, sales developments, and WSO customer events.
  • Prioritize active selling, solicitation, and business development.
  • Create and execute account plans for assigned markets to achieve group revenue goals.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and activity goals, including outside sales calls, prospecting calls, site inspections, and client entertainment.
  •   Participate in local organizations to grow professional networks, enhance hotel visibility, and generate new business opportunities.
  • Uncover and share potential P2P leads with sister properties and corporate teams.

Group Contracting & Revenue Management

  • Negotiate, draft, and confirm group contracts ensuring budgetary and revenue targets are met.
  • Adjust group pricing and recommend concessions as needed to close business.
  •   Qualify incoming leads to maximize group room nights and ancillary revenue.
  • Participate in discussions with DOS, CD, and GM regarding booking strategy and feedback throughout the sales process.

Account & System Management

  • Maintain strong Golden Sales & Catering hygiene including account creation, contact management, traces, email lists, and accurate bookings.
  • Maximize the use of automated systems such as Opera, Golden, and internal reporting tools.
  • Produce monthly sales recaps, quarterly action plans, and contribute to the annual Marketing Plan, including budget proposals.

Event Planning & Coordination

  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned group accounts once business is confirmed.
  • Work closely with clients to plan all event logistics including meeting space, A/V, food and beverage, rooming lists, transportation, and special requests.
  • Conduct site inspections, pre-convention meetings, and post-event briefings.
  • Prepare and distribute detailed group resumes and banquet event orders (BEOs) to operational departments.
  • Collaborate with Banquets, Catering, Front Office, Housekeeping, Culinary, and Conference Services to ensure flawless event execution.
  • Maintain timely communication with clients, addressing event changes, billing requirements, and on-site needs. • Monitor group pick-up, rooming blocks, attrition, and billing accuracy

Onsite Program Management

  • Being available on-site during events to interact with customers, address immediate concerns and ensure a high quality of service.
  • Facilitate all details while group is onsite including guestrooms, catering, banquets and AV details.
  • Ensure event spaces are set to client specifications and Four Seasons standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve last-minute changes or guest concerns.
  • Partner with Banquet and Conference Services teams to manage event flow and guest satisfaction.

Post Event Responsibilities

  • Conduct post-conference reviews to assess success and areas for future improvement.
  • Ensure all charges are accurate and complete for final billing.
  • Maintain strong follow-up to drive repeat group business and guest loyalty.
     

Qualifications & Experience

  • Hospitality Management degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum of 2 years of luxury hotel sales experience required.
  •  Proven sales achievements and strong leadership presence in the luxury group market
  • .Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  •  Business travel is required.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Opera, Golden, and related sales and reservation systems.
  • Conference Services Experience Preferable
