A bit about your role
The Executive Manager – Technology Portfolio Governance & Delivery to provide strategic leadership across a large, complex technology environment and is accountable for how technology change is planned, prioritised, governed, and delivered across the organisation. It oversees the full technology investment lifecycle from early concept and business case development through to sequencing, dependency management, delivery oversight, and portfolio health, ensuring initiatives are investment‑ready, aligned to strategic outcomes, and supported by strong delivery discipline.
The role will lead the enterprise technology portfolio by setting clear priorities, sequencing initiatives, and ensuring strong alignment to organisational strategy. This role owns a multi‑year technology roadmap that integrates lifecycle management, security, and digital transformation, while overseeing robust business cases, investment governance, and evidence‑based decision‑making. You will drive improvements in delivery frameworks and governance controls to ensure disciplined, transparent, and effective execution.
Working closely with senior technology, finance, and business leaders, you will manage portfolio risks, resolve issues, optimise delivery flow, and provide clear reporting on financial performance, delivery health, and benefits realisation. You will also lead and develop high‑performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, capability uplift, and continuous improvement across the portfolio.
A bit about you
You are a senior technology or transformation leader with a proven track record operating in complex, large‑scale environments such as telecommunications, infrastructure, or enterprise technology. You will bring deep expertise in portfolio governance, program and delivery management, and enterprise‑level investment oversight, supported by strong strategic capability to prioritise and sequence competing initiatives across a diverse portfolio.
Excelling in enterprise delivery frameworks, financial modelling, investment appraisal, and benefits realisation, with the ability to influence senior executives and collaborate effectively across cross‑functional teams will make you successful in the role. With strong people‑leadership capability, you build high‑performing cultures, develop talent, and balance strategic intent with practical delivery, bringing clarity, discipline, and momentum to complex transformation portfolios.
