Retail Banking Services (RBS) is the public face of CommBank, delivering a seamless banking experience for the future to our 10 million+ personal and small business customers. We offer market-leading products and services, supported by some of the world’s best systems and processes. This role sits within the Acquisition, Engagement and Retention Crew in the Everyday Banking (EDB) Domain. This portfolio is at the heart of the Retail Bank’s franchise, managing the acquisition and lifecycle management of everyday banking customers. You’ll have accountability for the engagement and retention value stream and manage the In-life and retention squad.

Do work that matters

As Executive Manager – Product Owner, you’ll also act as Stream Lead for the In-Life and Retention value stream, providing strategic direction and leadership across the squad.

Reporting to the Crew Lead, Acquisition, Engagement & Retention, you’ll lead and deliver strategies for everyday banking products across key customer segments. You’ll work closely with partners in Finance, Marketing, Digital, Analytics, Pricing and other squads within the EDB Domain to drive growth in customer engagement, deposit balance and market share. 

More specifically, you will; 

  • Design and lead the implementation of the Value Stream Product Strategy for our everyday product suite, covering early engagement through to retention
  • Lead and execute change, in partnership with delivery teams and stakeholders, to deliver campaigns and experiences that improve engagement and reduce attrition
  • Manage portfolio business metrics and reporting, understanding trends and drivers to support retention outcomes
  • Understand the voice of the customer and work closely with other EDB crews to address core customer problems
  • Proactively identify, understand and manage risks for the portfolio

We want to hear from people who have:

  • 8+ years’ product management experience, preferably within financial services
  • Experience leading change/transformation initiatives across product, customer and digital
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategy experience
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder and influencing skills, ideally with people management experience
