Job Description:
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee daily transactions and of the accounting department including:
accounts payable/receivable
cash receipts
general ledger
bank reconciliation
cashflow forecasting
Assist in monitoring and quarter reporting R&D Technology Commercial projects
Undertake other jobs assigned by superior/management
Monitor the R&D work in progress movement and ensure timely capitalization of the fixed asset
Assist in verifying payments and invoices to ensure completeness and accuracy of document
Responsible to produce and submission of accurate analyst reports (GFA, P&L, balance sheet & cash flow)
Execute the financial policies and procedures (e.g. fixed asset physical verification, AP & AR aging policies)
Prepare and submit SST to customs
Coordinate budget preparation, compile the budget numbers and prepare the R&D budget P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow
Liaise with internal & external party (e.g. auditors, bank agent, consolidation team)
Ensure compliance with the accounting standards & company accounting policy.
Forecasting R&D project cost, overheads and R&D Capex and cash flow movement
Participating in tax and customs audit
Ensure R&D fees is allocated charged to the correct entities/beneficiaries (plantation upstream and downstream)
Assist in the preparation of the Transfer Pricing document.
Draft the CFO clearance write-up on the P&L variance analysis.
Assist month-end and year-end closing procedures and ensure accruals being made to comply with MFRS and approved in accordance with company policy and LOAs.
Assist calculation of R&D charges for double tax deduction incentive and ensure the R&D status comply to the approved conditions by the authorities.
Regular review of agreements to ensure the validity (R&D collaboration agreement, R&D fee document and Lease agreement)
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) are a plus.
Minimum of 0-3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably within a corporate or research environment.
Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/FRS) and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, BPC) and Microsoft Excel (advanced skills preferred).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate financial information clearly.
High level of integrity and commitment to confidentiality.
Familiarity with Malaysian tax regulations and statutory requirements is an advantage.
