THE JOB:
It is the primary responsibility of the Executive Director of Finance to manage assigned areas and provide leadership in finance initiatives, processes, and policies at MGM Resorts International. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and MGM Resorts policies, practices, and procedures.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
- Oversee property finance functions—including Finance, Compliance, Workforce Management, Casino Cage, and Financial Planning & Analysis.
- Responsible for maintaining, updating and running financial/operational business models to assist senior management as necessary.
- Participate in the evaluation and execution of capital projects, to include presenting to MGM Capital Committee
- Assist senior management in developing operating budgets, forecasts, and other financial analyses
- Help oversee the Company’s compliance with its various regulators/governmental agencies
- Provide market research to support operating or capital investments
- Collaborate with the Corporate Finance team to finalize projects
- Direct Human Resources responsibilities to include: creating a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction; quality hiring, training, and succession planning processes that encompass the company’s diversity commitment
- Interface with investors and outside analysts as necessary
- Develop internal and presentation materials
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- They bring 4+ years of prior relevant experience in finance or a closely related discipline.
- They demonstrate strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and the ability to interpret and manage complex financial data to support informed business decisions.
