The Position
The Executive Director of Business Intelligence will be a member of the US Commercial Strategy & Operations Leadership Team, accountable for the continuous development of the data and analytics capabilities of the US Commercial Business and be expected to partner closely with key US and Global stakeholders. In this role, you will work closely with business, data, analytics, and technology leaders to improve organizational and data-driven decision-making. This will be achieved via a deployment of data and analytics strategies, governance, training, people, technologies, and cross-functional projects. Your ability to describe “what’s possible” and bring it to life in a pragmatic and phased manner will be key to your success in this role.
This role will lead the US Business Intelligence functions of Commercial Insights and Analytics, Business Planning and Reporting, and Data Management. It will report directly to the Associate Vice President of Commercial Strategy and Operations.
Responsibilities
US Commercial Data and Analytics Strategic Leadership
Develop and own the US Commercial organization's data and analytics vision and strategy.
Own the long-term vision and evolution of the Commercial BI function, including org design and capability roadmap.
Collect, synthesize, and resolve the US Commercial organization's strategic and tactical data and analytics needs.
Senior Business Partnership
Thought Leader to the US commercial leadership and above market stakeholders in applying data and analytics pragmatically.
Provide subject-matter expertise and executive leadership for data and analytics innovation into strategic and tactical business operations.
Enable and embed data literacy across US Commercial.
Operational Excellence
Establish and incorporate data and analytics governance programs that support the needs of the business units.
Collaborate closely with enterprise/global data and technology teams to ensure effective data and analytics technology alignment with business needs.
Maintain inline accountability for business planning and reporting function.
Team Leadership
Mentor BI Directors and support talent development and internal mobility.
Build a culture based on accountability and ownership in the data and analytics team where they are seen as a partner with shared goals that is fully integrated in all aspects of the business.
Enhance connectivity of BI functions in re-imagined organizational structure.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
Bachelor's degree or consummate experience; advanced degree preferred.
Eight years of managerial data and analytics experiences.
Two years of executive data and analytics experience preferred.
Operational and strategic understanding of:
Data governance
Advanced analytics
Business intelligence
Database systems
Data and analytics programming languages
Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. Identify market dynamics and trends to ensure optimal success in a therapeutic category.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels.
Strategic thinking with the ability to anticipate market trends and identify growth opportunities.
Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive consensus.
Experience analyzing complex business problems and facilitating the design of innovative approaches to solutioning for the critical issues.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Openness to innovation and ability to visualize how efficiencies can become realities.
Managerial and operational experiences in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry.
Passionate about analytics and helping everyone to become better at data-driven decision-making.
Able and willing to do data and analytics work to support the growth and development of the capability.

Annualized Salary Range (US)
$185,200.00 - $315,100.00Please Note: Pay Ranges are Specific to local market and therefore vary from country to country
