Job Description:

The Executive Director of Enrollment Pathways provides institutional leadership for the lifecycle of the K-12 student experience, bridging the gap between secondary education and post-secondary success, in addition to leading all enrollment activities for non-traditional populations. This position combines the responsibilities of High School Programs (Concurrent Enrollment) and Admissions (Recruitment) to create a robust, intentional support system for Aims Community College’s partners. The Executive Director is responsible for developing synergistic strategies that align high school concurrent enrollment efforts with long-term recruitment and enrollment goals.
This position leads college-wide efforts to maintain and develop relationships with school districts across Northern Colorado while overseeing recruitment strategies, enrollment services, new student communication plans, and the entire portfolio of dual enrollment programs (Concurrent Enrollment, PTECH, TREP, Career Academy, etc.). By balancing the needs of external school districts and community partners with internal college policies and academic rigor, the Executive Director serves as a candid, authentic change agent who drives enrollment growth and student success.
Leadership & Strategic Partnerships 35%
- Develop and maintain partnerships with new and existing school districts. Ensure timely and current MOUs and agreements are in place.
- Provide high-level strategic planning for the department’s recruitment and enrollment efforts.
- Use data to analyze enrollment trends across the college, by campus, and by high school partner to drive continuous improvement.
- Coordinate the development of articulated agreements between Aims Community College and local educational providers.
Strategic Enrollment & Pipeline Operations 20%
- Oversee the development of effective communication plans for prospective/new students and ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
- Oversee the use of Element 451 (CRM) and third-party software to track prospective students from inquiry to enrollment.
- Ensure that high school concurrent enrollment students are supported in a robust way that builds affinity and encourages matriculation to Aims.
- Serve as the administrative point of contact between high schools and the College to ensure quality programs and student experiences.
Department Management & Supervision 15%
- Provide leadership for combined enrollment management and concurrent enrollment staff.
- Hire, train, and evaluate staff.
- Develop, direct, and coordinate the efforts of the following functions: new student recruitment, pipeline programs, enrollment services, call center operations, navigation station, and concurrent enrollment (PTECH, Career Academy, etc.).
- Coach and mentor staff through open communication and genuine feedback.
- Ensure effective utilization of all department personnel to create synergy for the student experience.
Compliance, Policy & Change Management 15%
- Act as an effective change agent.
- Identify necessary changes for continuous improvement.
- Communicate and ensure compliance with all college policies, guidelines, best practices, and HLC accreditation standards.
- Serve as liaison with institutional governance committees about dual credit and admissions issues.
- Draft, maintain, and update policies specific to dual credit/concurrent enrollment and admissions.
Strategic Budget Management 5%
- This position will serve as the Cost Center Manager for High School Programs and Admissions budgets.
- Develop, defend/justify, and administer multiple departmental operating budgets (exceeding $3.5 million including concurrent enrollment, career academy, and recruitment budgets).
- Analyze budget and positional needs and advocate for additional resources when necessary.
- Make strategic decisions on the best utilization of allocated budget for recruitment marketing and partner outreach.
Behavioral Intervention (BIT) Team 5%
- Serve as a core member of the Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT) by reviewing agendas and new referrals in advance, contributing high school context to student risk assessments and case discussions.
- Act as the primary liaison between Aims and partner high schools, coordinating with school administrators and counselors to assess student concerns and gather relevant background information.
- Communicate timely feedback, insights, and recommendations from high school partners to the BIT to support informed decision-making and appropriate interventions.
- Initiate, schedule, and participate in Rapid Response meetings as needed to address urgent student safety, behavioral, or wellbeing concerns involving concurrently enrolled students.
Other Duties as Assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate Degree's in degree in in Higher Education, Business Administration, or other related field; plus five (5) years of related work experience with four (4) years of experience with coordinating programs for concurrent enrollment/dual credit/high school course work/curriculum and supervisory experience including hiring, training and evaluating staff or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- This position requires the use of a company vehicle and/or personal vehicle for business travel. The selected candidate must successfully pass an MVR and be insurable under Aims insurance.

- Experience in recruiting/admissions and dual/concurrent enrollment
- Extensive, direct, hands-on experience with Workday Student Information System
- Familiarity with student information systems (e.g., Workday) and case management databases (e.g., Maxient).
- Experience making professional presentations to groups of up to 50 people.
- Working knowledge of mental health, student development, BIT best practices, higher education law, FERPA, and electronic record-keeping systems.
- Bilingual with proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish.
- Experience working in a Community college setting
