The Executive Director Business Operations is responsible for the strategic planning, coordination and direction of physician service strategic business units across 2 hospitals and 14 practices. This role will have a dyadic partnerships with Sentara's Medical Specialties divisions to include Pulmonary Clinical Care, Infection Disease and Neurology Clinical Chiefs with leadership over 160 providers, 80 staff members.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the overall business operations of all areas of responsibility, as well as activities that relate to the future growth of the Neurology, PCCM and ID divisions.
Maximizes value and growth through strategy execution that drives efficiency, quality, patient experience, and health outcomes, aligned with Health System and Health Plan needs.
Develop operational strategies to address productivity, operational performance, staff retention and patient satisfaction.
Ensures appropriate prioritization and good resource management to fulfill strategic objectives specific to specialty and market need.
Define, plan, develop, implement, and oversee programs and systems to guide and attain the goals of Ambulatory Services Division/Sentara Healthcare
Exhibit strong communication, presentation and listening skills to ensure facility-wide collaboration and coordination, especially as concerns physicians, employees, and the community.
Ensure positive employee relations and trust through communication, education, consistency, and dependability.
Establish trust and emerge as a leader in key initiatives and strategies to continually improve the quality and level of services provided.
Education/Experience
Bachelors Degree (Required)
Masters Degree (Preferred)
8 years of Business Unit Director experience (Required)
