WHY BOX NEEDS YOU

Box is looking for an experienced professional to join the Communications team as an executive communications strategist to help us build, scale, and own the program that shapes how Box's leadership shows up in the world. You should be passionate about storytelling at the executive level, comfortable working with senior leaders, and a very strong writer with a background in media relations, executive prep, external speaking programs, and content development. If you're the right candidate, you'll have established B2B media and influencer relationships, a strong pulse on the AI and tech landscape, and a builder's mentality ready to hit the ground running.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO 

  • Build and manage a scalable executive communications program that aligns leadership visibility, messaging, and thought leadership to Box’s business priorities.

  • Manage executive visibility opportunities by identifying, prioritizing, and supporting conferences, media engagements, influencer interactions, and thought leadership platforms.

  • Foster and manage relationships with event organizers, media (traditional, new media, and other external voices) to expand Box’s executive visibility and support strategic storytelling.

  • Partner closely with senior executives to develop strategic messaging, storylines, and communications plans across owned, earned, and social channels.

  • Create executive-ready content including keynote presentations, speaking remarks, Op-Eds, talking points, FAQs, internal communications, and digital content.

  • Partner with Social, Product, and Product Marketing teams to ensure executive messaging is consistent, timely, and aligned with company positioning.

  • Measure the impact of executive communications programs and refine strategies based on performance, audience engagement, and business relevance.

  • Experience building and managing an executive communications program that supports leadership visibility, messaging, and thought leadership.

  • Proven experience partnering with senior executive leaders to shape messaging, positioning, and communications across owned, earned, and social channels.

  • Experience managing executive engagements at conferences, events, as well as, influencer and media opportunities.

  • Strong media relations skills and a curiosity about the evolving media landscape, including emerging platforms, influencers, and new media.

  • Able to think strategically, execute tactically, and measure the impact of your results.

  • Strong business acumen, analytical ability, and outstanding written and oral communications skills.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that requires effective time management and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Required skills

  • 3+ years experience in Communications, Public Relations (B2B a plus)

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent

  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills

Preferred skills

  • B2B/Enterprise software experience

  • Integrated marketing/PR agency experience

  • Experience working on AI products or at AI company
