We are looking for an Executive Assistant to support the CEO of NN Group. This is a senior, business‑critical position that requires excellent judgement, discretion and the ability to operate confidently at Board level.
What you are going to do
In this role you support the CEO in the broadest sense – no day will be the same. You ensure the CEO can operate at peak effectiveness, you manage incoming demands with confidence, and act independently wherever possible. You switch easily between topics, make sound decisions, and stay calm in a high‑energy, international environment.
Key responsibilities
Executive & operational support:
Proactively manage the CEO’s complex and fast‑moving agenda, balancing internal priorities, external commitments, Board obligations and regulatory requirements
Act as gatekeeper to the CEO, applying sharp judgement on access, priorities and escalation
Support the CEO with meetings, travel and day‑to‑day decision‑making
Board & governance support:
Coordinate Board schedules in close collaboration with the other Board PAs and the company secretariat
Support the preparation of Board and investor meetings: agendas, materials, briefings and follow‑ups
Track actions and decisions to ensure timely execution and accountability
Stakeholder management:
Build trusted relationships across the organisation and with external parties, representing the CEO professionally and confidently
Handle sensitive and confidential matters with absolute discretion
Work closely with the broader team of PAs supporting the Management Board
Communication & coordination:
Draft and manage high‑quality correspondence on behalf of the CEO
Coordinate cross‑functional initiatives requiring CEO involvement
Anticipate issues and risks, flag them early and suggest practical solutions
Logistics & administration:
Manage complex international travel and logistics, ensuring efficiency and compliance
Oversee expense management, approvals, and related administrative processes to a high standard
Maintain and manage internal systems and tools such as Workday, Proactis and Diligent

Salary between €4,500 and €6,000 (monthly, based on 40 hrs), depending on knowledge and experience

Experience & capabilities:
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Proven experience as a PA or Executive Assistant supporting a CEO or Board‑level executive in a listed, regulated, or complex organisation
Understanding of corporate governance, Board dynamics, and confidentiality requirements
Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure (always with attention to detail)
High emotional intelligence and sound judgement; comfortable with ambiguity and sensitive situations
Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English
Confidence working across cultures and international stakeholder groups
Nice to have:
Experience within financial services (banking, insurance, asset management)
Exposure to investor relations, regulatory interactions, or public company reporting cycles
Experience working with Company Secretariat and Board processes
Who you will work with
You work directly and primarily for the CEO of NN Group and are part of the Executive Assistant team supporting the Management Board and Supervisory Board. In addition, you are the go-to-person for the Chair of the Supervisory Board of NN Group.
