Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to the Vice President, Enterprise Contracts.  This role is located in Falls Church, Virginia. This position is on-site and may require occasional non-standard telework hours. 

As a valued member of the corporate team, this Executive Assistant is the center of day-to-day office operations. This position is pivotal to the success of the organization and the successful candidate will demonstrate how they have supported their prior teams through organization, self-motivation, and task ownership skills, with the ability to accomplish duties in a high-impact, time sensitive environment. 

The successful candidate communicates and interfaces with enterprise-wide partners, executives, administrative and line management employees. This position requires the individual to perform advanced administrative duties with exposure to sensitive information necessitating tact, diplomacy, discretion, and judgment. Strong project management skills, emotional intelligence, political savvy, discretion, and integrity are essential for this position. In addition, the candidate must be comfortable working in a high energy, collaborative, professional environment and able to complete a wide variety of tasks independently with minimal supervision. Advanced proficiency at managing priorities and projects, tracking and coordinating staff activity and actions for senior leadership team members is required.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma and a minimum of six years additional education and/or experience in the administrative professional or related field or a bachelor’s degree with two years' experience in the administrative professional or related field.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment and managing information flow in a timely and accurate manner, especially in coordinating with other executive level assistants throughout the corporation.
  • Experience participating and hosting in-person and remote Video Teleconference meetings (i.e. Zoom, Skype, Teams,  etc.)
  • Computer skills required include advanced expertise in Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), SharePoint and intranet/internet proficiency.
  • Ability to efficiently coordinate Outlook calendar and other routine items.
  • Experience with travel and expense reporting systems (Concur or similar, ITRIP)
  • Understand the sensitive nature of working in an executive office and have good judgement, problem solving skills and maintain the highest levels of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently, foresee needs and be proactive.
  • Ability to solve problems and meet deadlines with a great level of flexibility.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance, up to the Secret level.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Ability to swiftly adapt to new tools/technologies to drive efficiency and organization across the team.
  • Prior experience coordinating both on and off-site meetings and/or events.
  • Experience writing, proofreading and correcting documents.
  • Expert level proficiency with oral and written communication skills.
  • Active Top Secret, SCI clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,100.00 - $131,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
