About the Role

Pagaya is seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented Executive Assistant to support our Legal and Compliance leadership team (including our Chief Legal Officer and Chief Compliance Officer) in New York City. This role goes beyond traditional administrative support and serves as a trusted partner to senior legal and compliance executives, helping drive operational excellence, streamline workflows, and ensure the efficient execution of critical priorities.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment, exercises exceptional judgment, and is comfortable handling sensitive and confidential matters. You will work closely with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance, and other cross-functional partners to support governance, regulatory obligations, and strategic initiatives that enable Pagaya to scale responsibly.

This position combines high-level calendar and meeting management, legal and compliance operations support, and stakeholder coordination to ensure the Legal & Compliance teams can focus on protecting and advancing the business.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive executive-level support to senior leaders within Pagaya’s Legal and Compliance functions, including complex calendar management and strategic prioritization of commitments.
  • Serve as a trusted partner to leadership by anticipating needs, flagging conflicts, and proactively managing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Coordinate and prepare logistics for board meetings, committee meetings (e.g., Audit, Risk, Compliance), regulatory reviews, and other high-stakes internal and external meetings.
  • Manage sensitive communications and materials with a high degree of discretion, including legal documents, regulatory correspondence, and confidential internal matters.
  • Support governance processes by tracking key deadlines, filings, approvals, and recurring compliance obligations.
  • Partner with Legal Operations, Compliance, Finance, and HR to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and support budget and vendor management where applicable.
  • Plan and execute travel arrangements and meeting logistics for Legal & Compliance leadership, with an eye toward efficiency and cost optimization.
  • Establish and maintain best-in-class administrative systems for calendaring, document organization, matter tracking, and internal communications.
  • Develop standardized templates, toolkits, and workflows to improve consistency and operational effectiveness across Legal and Compliance teams.
  • Act as a point of coordination for cross-functional initiatives involving Legal and Compliance, ensuring timely follow-ups and clear communication.
  • Support team operations, including onboarding coordination, offsites, trainings, and in-office events, as needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant supporting senior executives, ideally within Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance, or other regulated or high-stakes environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex calendars, confidential information, and high-priority meetings with precision and professionalism.
  • Exceptional organizational and operational skills, with experience building or improving scalable administrative processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with executives, cross-functional partners, and external stakeholders.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and sound judgment; comfortable handling sensitive legal, regulatory, and personnel matters.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to anticipate needs before they arise.
