Depot

Executive Assistant

Remote Full-time

At Depot, we are on a mission to redefine software collaboration and accelerate developers everywhere. We are creating a build performance and developer platform unlike any other, combining performance, empathy, and centralized collaboration to enable companies to iterate exponentially faster.

We are embarking on the next phase of Depot, which aims to redefine the software development process. Everyone at Depot is inspired by the opportunity to help developers ship and collaborate faster than ever before. We are all builders and care deeply about the quality of our work.

We believe that by focusing on performance, empathy, and quality, we are creating a gravitational pull towards Depot, both the team and the product. This is the foundation on which all other things are built.

Depot is growing fast and our CEO needs leverage. As the company scales — new products launching, a growing team, investors, customers, and a relentless pace of decisions — the complexity of the CEO role compounds quickly. We're looking for an Executive Assistant who creates the conditions for our CEO to do their best work.

This is a high-trust, high-ownership role. The best EAs at early-stage companies operate like an extension of the founder — anticipating needs, protecting focus, and making sure critical things don't fall through the cracks. That's what we're looking for here.

About the job

  • Calendar management: ruthless prioritization of the CEO's time, proactive scheduling, and protecting dedicated blocks for focused work
  • Email and communication triage: managing inbox, drafting responses, and flagging what needs attention now vs. later
  • Meeting prep and follow-up: pulling context before meetings, capturing action items, and ensuring follow-through
  • Travel coordination: booking flights, accommodations, and ground transport efficiently and without drama
  • Project tracking: keeping tabs on open threads across hiring, investors, customers, and internal initiatives
  • Research: there is always new projects and strategies we are exploring, so having someone that can dig deeper into particular corners is a major help
  • Ad hoc support: whatever comes up that helps us move faster and be more focused

About you

  • You have 2+ years as an EA or in a high-trust operational support role, ideally supporting a founder or C-suite executive at a startup
  • Your written communication is excellent — we’re an async remote company where written communication is key
  • You're proactive by default — you solve problems before they're surfaced to you
  • You're tech-forward and comfortable with async tools, Google Workspace, Slack/Discord, ChatGPT, Claude, and picking up new systems quickly
  • You stay calm under pressure and can context-switch without dropping things
  • Low ego, high ownership — you do what needs to be done without waiting to be asked

Benefits

  • Remote work with async-friendly culture
  • Compensation package with equity available
  • Health insurance/benefits
  • Unlimited PTO policy
  • Free access to Claude Code and Cursor
  • Yearly team offsites
  • Cool Depot swag

Depot values and culture

We are a fully remote and globally distributed team across the US, Europe, and Canada currently. As a remote startup, there is a collection of things we value and expect from folks:

  • We're only going to get more distributed as time goes on. As such, there is always stuff happening across Depot so we value folks who thrive in that type of environment.
  • We're not your family and don't pretend to be. We expect you to get things done and work hard to help us meet your goals. But you should spend time with your family and friends, so you should find the balance that accomplishes both.
  • We're a small team and aim to accomplish massive things as a lean team. Everyone who works at Depot is a self starter and is deeply passionate about the problems we're solving, and want to solve them well.
  • We want you to own it. We firmly believe that ownership is the key to growth and part of that growth is making the choices, and owning the success, failure, and lessons learned that comes with those choices.
  • We value data. We make decisions based on what the data tells us and what customers need from us. Folks thrive at Depot by being data driven in their decision making.
