Major Duties:
Qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-09 or GS-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. For the GS-11, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-9 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-9 if outside the Federal service. Specialized Experience is defined as: Experience scheduling and maintaining the calendar for senior (civilian and military) management officials and experience assisting in the development of reports and presentations for senior management officials. or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related or Equivalent combinations of successfully completed higher-level graduate level education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements. For the GS-12, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-11 if outside the Federal service.GS-12 Specialized Experience is defined as : Experience coordinating administrative responsibilities which may include administrative planning, assisting with briefings, projects, policies or engagements for senior (civilian and military) management officials, and tracking progress of priorities to ensure action items and suspense dates are met. Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-09 or higher grade in Federal Service to be eligible for a GS-11 position. You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
