Your Business & Team

In Financial Services, we support the Group’s strategy of building tomorrow’s bank today for our customers, through a focus on three key priorities: trust, resilience, and capital generation. Financial Services partner with other areas of the Bank to provide specialist advice, support, and services relating to financial reporting, audit, treasury, property, procurement, climate strategy, and investor relations.

Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M) is responsible for managing the Group’s relationships with major corporate and government clients and institutional investors.  The division provides a full range of capital raising, transactional, and risk management products and services. IB&M Finance supports the business by providing financial control, financial analysis and insight, product control and regulatory accounting as well as related project and strategic implementation support.

Your Role

Reporting to the General Manager, IBM Finance Product Control, this role supports the three IB&M Finance General Managers across a range of operational and administrative areas. You will communicate with senior business stakeholders, assist with team planning, and ensure standardisation of best practice across IB&M Finance. The breadth of work provides an exceptional opportunity to understand the wider IB&M business and to be personally involved with senior leaders and the broader team.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient, professional delivery of administrative, secretarial, and business support
  • Diary and inbox management – scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and ensuring efficient use of time
  • Drive IB&M Finance People and Culture initiatives, including ownership of the roadmap, operational charter, and partnership with the People & Culture (P&C) team
  • Support delivery of the IB&M Finance Strategic Pillars – Efficiency, EQ/IQ, Knowing the Franchise, and Leveraging Technology – through coordination of stream deliverables, quarterly planning, and event logistics
  • Develop and execute a communications plan for the EGM and GMs, including email notes, video messages, and Teams announcements, in partnership with the Executive Advisor
  • Set up, deliver, and maintain the IB&M Finance SharePoint as a central hub for documentation, events, and updates
  • Oversee the IB&M Finance onboarding experience, leveraging FS and CBA materials to create a streamlined and consistent process for new joiners
  • Champion the embedding of Microsoft Teams capability, ensuring effective use of channels, tags, and collaboration tools
  • Manage recognition programs including Recognition Hub nominations, points tracking, and quarterly reporting
  • Lead coordination of quarterly deliverables planning, aligning stream leads, P&C, and leadership requirements to ensure clear ownership and realistic capacity
  • Build and maintain relationships across the Group to leverage internal resources and initiatives (e.g. CBHS wellbeing sessions, Group training, and engagement campaigns)
  • Support the design and delivery of internal events such as Wellbeing Moments, Office Etiquette sessions, and Can4Cancer fundraising activities
  • Assist with meeting preparation, including collation and review of papers and briefing materials
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings with clients and stakeholders – liaising with other EAs and arranging logistics, catering, and technology requirements
  • Participate in meetings – managing agendas, actions, and tracking follow-ups
  • Coordinate international and domestic travel arrangements
  • Uphold the Code of Conduct, ensuring decisions and actions align with the Group’s Purpose, Values, and Risk Framework Enablers
  • Identify and manage conflicts of interest in accordance with the Group’s Conflicts Management Policy
