Executive Assistant - 12 Month Contract

In this varied Executive Assistant role (12-month contract) you’ll be working closely with two of our Executive Committee members: the Head of Legal & General Counsel and Head of Corporate Audit Services and their teams. The Legal team includes the company secretariat function to ING’s Executive Committee, Board and its committees.

Your day to day will include managing complex calendars and travel, preparing high-quality presentations, and ensuring smooth governance through effective meeting planning and documentation. You’ll also play a key role supporting leadership communications and collaborating with a wide range of local and global stakeholders.

What you’ll do

  • Effective email and diary management with skill and awareness of current business priorities
  • Executive Committee, Board and Board Committee meeting planning and organization.
  • Support governance and documentation for the regular cadence of meetings required by the Executive (e.g., meetings typically include regular 1:1s with direct reports, leadership meetings and team town halls)
  • Preparation of quality presentations, reporting and information management (including monitoring of staff leave and key dates) with an appropriate awareness of the treatment of data
  • Broader administrative support for the business unit. Examples include travel coordination, liaising with external parties, IT support including planning for meetings.
  • Management of expenses and expense reconciliation processes

What we’re looking for

  • Extensive experience as an Executive Assistant or similar supporting C-suite leaders, ideally within banking or financial services.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and discreet approach to handling confidential matters.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and collaboration tools like Teams.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships across all levels of an organisation, both locally and globally.
  • A proactive, flexible and solutions-focused mindset, with a genuine interest in supporting leadership and contributing to a positive team culture.
