Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Administrative Assistant to the VP in McLean, VA. The position supports the Weapon Systems Division Vice President and General Manager
The position requires a self-motivated professional who is skilled in a full range of administrative support functions: including coordinating meetings across multiple calendars, travel arrangements, filing expense reporting, ordering supplies, planning team engagement activities and events, managing/coordinating customer engagements and other guests, and supporting the General Manager and the Division leadership team with their day-to-day administrative needs.
Essential Functions:
Calendar management, across a distributed team / multiple time zones
Meeting organization and planning
Coordinating travel arrangements
Expense report generation and closeout
Gather, compile, and reporting
Coordination and preparation of briefing packages
Coordinating arrangements for customer meetings
Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma/GED with a minimum of 10 years related work experience, including a minimum of 6 years of experience supporting senior leadership.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations with poise and diplomacy.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Able to work well independently and as part of a team.
Effectively handle multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of flexibility, accuracy, and confidentiality.
Position continually requires demonstrated ability to handle complex work assignments, where considerable initiative, judgment, tact, discretion, and creativity are required in resolving problems.
Possesses good analytical ability in order to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various administrative problems.
Must be a US Citizen and able to acquire a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Primary Level Salary Range: $79,100.00 - $131,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
