About The Team

The Marketing and Communications Office drives initiatives that strengthen the University’s reputation, support recruitment, and foster staff and student engagement. Within this, the Events function in the Engagement and Experience team delivers high-profile, complex events and provides advisory support for other University events.
 

Your New Role!  

The Events Producer is responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating events that enhance Murdoch University’s reputation and support the objectives of the event team. The role focuses on the Murdoch University Conference Centre and a portfolio of internal events, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and collaborating closely with external partners and clients.
 

Your Key responsibilities will include –

  • Oversee the development and operation of the Murdoch University Conference Centre and manage a portfolio of University and external events, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
  • Provide expert advice to senior stakeholders, build strong relationships with event partners, and develop a robust University-wide events network to maintain standards and share best practices.
  • Manage all aspects of allocated events, including planning, logistics, compliance and evaluation, while contributing to continuous improvement of the University’s events function

This Fixed Term (1 Year) | Full Time (37.5 hours per week) attracts a remuneration of (H0707) $97,743 – $107,690 (pro rata) plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Events, Project Management, Marketing, or related field, with 5+ years’ experience in delivering diverse, high-profile events
  • Proven ability to manage multiple events and projects end-to-end, including planning, coordination, and meeting deadlines
  • Skilled in budget management, contract administration, and identifying cost efficiencies without compromising quality
  • Proficient in event sales, multi-venue coordination, and advanced computer literacy with Microsoft Office and specialised software
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and customer service skills, with the ability to engage constructively with stakeholders and clients
