We are looking for an experienced Events Manager to join Cherry Ventures on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. This role sits at the heart of our platform and community efforts and is responsible for delivering a high-quality portfolio of events for founders, investors, and partners.
You will take full ownership of Cherry’s events programme during the maternity cover period, ensuring continuity, operational excellence, and thoughtful execution across our flagship events, intimate gatherings, and portfolio-facing initiatives.
This is a part-time role (3 days per week), ideal for a senior events professional looking for meaningful, high-impact work with flexibility.
Fixed-term maternity cover (12 months)
Part-time: 3 days per week
Expected start approximately one month prior to the incumbent’s leave to allow for handover and shadowing
Exact start date is flexible; early March start preferred
Own the end-to-end planning and execution of Cherry Ventures’ events programme, including conferences, networking events, investor meetings, portfolio showcases, and community gatherings
Lead all event logistics, from venue sourcing and scheduling to guest management and on-site coordination
Manage event budgets, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure cost-effective delivery without compromising on quality
Track event outcomes and produce post-event evaluations with clear insights and recommendations
Build and maintain strong working relationships with portfolio founders, investors, partners, and industry stakeholders
Collaborate closely with internal teams across investment, communications, operations, and finance to ensure events align with Cherry’s strategic priorities and brand
Represent Cherry Ventures professionally at selected industry and portfolio events
Manage external partners, including agencies, freelancers, venues, and suppliers
Maintain accurate and up-to-date event records, including attendee lists, budgets, contacts, and outcomes
Handle all administrative aspects of event management and reporting
Proven experience in event management, event production, community, or investor-facing environments
Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple workstreams confidently
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
A strong eye for detail and quality, with a creative approach to event design and execution
Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, high-trust environment
Experience in venture capital, startups, or finance is a plus, but not essential
