Role Details

We are looking for a bright, motivated, and creative individual to join our Conferences and Events team who ensure the smooth running of events within our University.

This is a particularly exciting opportunity if you are interested in a career within the catering and events industry, as you will be providing valuable support to the team with day-to-day tasks, whilst gaining an understanding of the running of a busy conference and events department.

Some of the duties you will be involved with are:

  • Answering telephone enquiries and recording any actions required onto our conferences database
  • Sending out quotations and contracts to clients relating to their bookings
  • Assisting with the running of large events such as conferences and wedding receptions
  • Posting information and updates onto our Social Media sites

This opportunity calls for a flexible, organised and customer focussed individual, who enjoys working as part of a team. Ideally you will have a hospitality or business focused qualification, experience within the conferencing and events industry, or the motivation and desire to pursue a career in this industry.

Interviews will likely be held week commencing 13 April.
