Overview
To contribute to a smooth production process of touring shows by performing a wide variety of duties and providing transportation within Sarasota and Manatee counties in a courteous, respectful, and pleasant manner. This work involves a high level of integrity and discretion and includes varying priorities and assignments.
Essential Functions
Performs a variety of duties within Sarasota and Manatee counties to assist touring shows.
Provides transportation for artists and touring company crews.
Maintains upmost respect for artists and their privacy.
Maintains petty cash for purchases.
Abides by rules of building access locations as instructed.
Possesses knowledge of Sarasota geographical area and businesses for effective and efficient routes and errands.

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED,
Must be 21 years of age or older,
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
Job Based Competencies
Ability to deal with the public and artists in a courteous and respectful manner and withstand pressures arising from sensitive artist contacts and related work environment.
Ability to balance and accurately reconcile cash with daily reports and receipts.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions on an accurate and timely basis.
Ability to work long shifts of 12-14 hours or more which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to safely and efficiently operate multiple vehicle classes, including large sedans and passenger vans.
Knowledge of the City and surrounding areas and the ability to read and interpret street maps and GPS devices.
Responsibility
Under the direction of and responsible to the Technical Director, Assistant Technical Director, touring Company Manager, or designated representative. Receives day-to-day instruction and supervision from the assigned supervisor. Usually no supervision exercised.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to lift and move items and objects of up to 30 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Position requires considerable physical activity including walking, lifting, reaching, stooping, standing, grasping for duration of shift and sitting for long periods of time. Visual acuity is required to safely operate a motor vehicle and prepare and review written records. Incumbent is required to have sufficient hearing ability to perceive information accurately at normal spoken word levels. Manual dexterity is required to operate equipment in performance of duties.
Public Contact
Extensive and continuing public contact is an essential component of this position. The incumbent interacts frequently with, and must possess the ability to deal both tactfully and discretely with, visiting artists, production crews, renters of the Hall, and the general public.
