We are seeking a talented, energetic student to join the Marketing and Branding team in our Milton Office location as the Event Marketing Intern. Duration for this role is 8 months. This position is fully onsite role.

What you will be doing:
This role combines facilities coordination at our Training Centre with event planning and execution support for major tradeshow and marketing events. The successful candidate will play a key role in creating premium brand experiences, managing logistics, and ensuring seamless event execution.
Assist with day-to-day operations, including scheduling, facility readiness, and safety compliance
Support setup and breakdown of training sessions, workshops, demonstrations, and customer events
Manage equipment, tools, materials, and AV/IT systems to ensure smooth operations
Maintain and replenish facility inventory (tools, marketing materials, supplies)
Help manage the full registration process from pre-event to post-event
Coordinate visitor check-in, orientation, and hospitality
Assist with room configuration and displays to ensure on-brand presentation
Support compliance with health, safety, and accessibility standards for all visitors and staff
Support Brand Marketing Manager and Channel Managers with planning, development, and coordination of major tradeshow events
Assist with event logistics planning, including vendor coordination, setup, and breakdown
Coordinate catering services and event rentals with vendors
Support creation and management of event timelines and checklists
Liaise with external agencies (creative and event marketing agencies) to ensure timely execution
Assist with post-event reporting and documentation
Provide onsite technical and logistical support to trainers, presenters, and event hosts
Collaborate with marketing team to align events and displays with campaigns and brand messaging
Work closely with marketing, sales, and technical teams to support event goals
Coordinate facility calendar with launches, campaigns, and marketing milestones
At the end of your assignment, you will have the opportunity to share information about your experience with other students and with ROCKWOOL management.
What you bring:
Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a business, marketing, event management, or related program
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and other related computer skills.
Experience with Adobe Photoshop, video editing software, and Microsoft Power Automate is considered an asset.
Strong organizational and project management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality execution
Customer service orientation and problem-solving mindset
The successful candidate must have access to a vehicle to commute between the head office and training centre (both located within Milton, ON).

The hourly pay rate for this position is between the range $21-$25. Compensation is determined based on the student’s academic program, year of study, relevant work experience, job responsibilities, and work location.
