About the Job:
The Red Hat Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) marketing team is seeking an experienced events coordinator to project manage and help to deliver internal and external events. Reporting to the senior manager, EMEA events, you will work closely with the EMEA events team and other stakeholders to support and deliver an exceptional experience for our internal and external customers, in line with our business objectives and company ethos. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented and a self-starter event professional to proactively play a key role in a high-impact, fast paced team environment.
What you will do:
As an Events Coordinator, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:
Support with the delivery of high impact, strategic, cornerstone event series for the region
Coordinate senior leadership engagements and exec briefings with key accounts to drive pipeline
Collaborate with our global teams and wider comms team to support Red Hat attendance at key industry events in EMEA
Project manage multiple events concurrently, including coordinating agencies, vendors, budgets, timelines and demonstrating success metrics
Communicate effectively with key EMEA and global stakeholders, including finance, procurement and brand
Formulate follow-up and evaluation metrics for each project
Develop and implement event best practices and operating standards
What you will bring:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of relevant experience in event management and event marketing
A proactive and adaptable mindset, to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Proven experience in event coordination and project management, preferably for large-scale corporate or technology events.
A team player with experience of working within complex or highly matrix organisation
Demonstrated ability to manage sponsor relationships, including contract administration and communication.
Strong logistical skills with experience in managing event components
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
Experience with event management software (e.g., Rainfocus) and CRM systems (e.g., SalesCloud) is a plus.
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of working successfully with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
A willingness to travel (as needed)
