Event Coordinator Associate (FWS/NFWS)

Position Summary / Purpose:
The Event Coordinator Associate provides assistance and support to the Event Services Department by helping plan, facilitate, and execute campus events. This position works collaboratively with student employees, full-time staff, and external vendors to support efficient and successful event operations.
 

Primary Responsibilities / Accountabilities / Essential Functions:

  • Assist with planning, facilitating, and executing campus events
  • Support Event Services staff during event setup, execution, and breakdown
  • Collaborate with student workers, full-time employees, and external vendors
  • Communicate professionally with campus partners and event stakeholders
  • Follow established procedures and complete assigned tasks accurately
  • Provide excellent customer service during event-related activities
     

Equipment Used and Responsibility:

  • Microsoft Outlook
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Word
  • General office equipment
  • Event equipment and supplies as assigned

  • Ability to multitask and follow directions in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Demonstrates initiative and accountability
  • Effective communication and time management skills
  • Reliable, dependable, and flexible with scheduling
     

Experience / Education:

  • Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s
  • Maintain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor’s student
  • Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University

Work Environment:
Office building on site. Work is primarily performed indoors, with occasional exposure to varying temperatures, weather conditions, equipment noise, and dust during event setup and breakdown.
 

Pay Rate: Minimum Wage
