As an employee of Regency Retirement Resorts, you are a member of a highly energetic team, supervising and performing duties encompassing hosting, housekeeping, laundry and the security and well being of the Residents within established guidelines and procedures assigned.
Schedule:
This position is an evening schedule 4:00pm- 12:00am
Sunday- Tuesday

Duties and Responsibilities:
Sets and maintains an example of conduct, personal grooming and appearance that will set a standard for all staff to emulate.
Respond to Resident emergency alarms, determining whether a situation is an emergency and if calling an ambulance is required.
Maintain and monitor the front door security and ensure all visitors are logged or signed in as required.
Act as a host/hostess and reception for the building, answering telephone in an appropriate manner. Books guest meals, in house appointments and records incidents.
Create a positive, friendly atmosphere communicating and interacting with Residents in a professional manner.
Provides Food Services to special events and caters to external groups as part of the marketing teams program, showcasing the level of service that could be expected as a Resident.
Set up and participate in activities planned by the Activity Director.
Act as a host/hostess in the dining room and assist Food and Beverage Servers during meals and special or catered events.
Act as the Fire Captain for the building until the Fire Department arrives in the event of a fire emergency
Maintain the security of the building’s assets and property through building alarms and security checks.
Organizes and performs cleaning and or laundry duties throughout shift as assigned.
Reports damaged or inoperable equipment, furniture and fixtures to the Maintenance department.
Reports linen and uniform repair needs to Housekeeping Supervisor.
Responds to resident calls for building or suite needs. Ensures problem area is safe, assesses problem and performs minor maintenance as required. Minor maintenance may involve such things as unplugging toilets, resetting suite breakers, and turning off water lines.
Maintains confidentiality of all resident and organizational information and displays an attitude that shows respect and maintains the spirit, dignity and individuality of the residents. Communicates any information to the General Manager or Administrative Assistant that may assist in maintaining the Residents health, safety and happiness.
Familiarizes and adheres to all organizational policies and procedures.
Assists in the orientation process of new employees.
Performs other related duties and multi-tasking functions as assigned.
Qualifications:
Two years recent related experience in the hospitality industry. Serving it Right. WHMIS Food Safe an asset
Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Mentally and physically able to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. Able to plan, organize and direct people and functions. Must be tactful, friendly and extremely patient when dealing with residents. Must be courteous and friendly to visitors and work in a cooperative manner with fellow workers.
