Role/ Department:


Northern Trust Banking & Markets encompasses global banking, treasury management, lending and benefit payments, alongside the global trading desks for all equities bonds and FX trading, securities lending and financing and repo trading. The Client Services Specialist will act as the lead to develop and oversee Global Banking’s Client Services model for Europe. This role combines exceptional project management, client services and banking expertise to ensure exceptional governance and client experience.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

Client Services SME supporting Banking with business and technical knowledge of NT’s Banking product

  • Partners with internal teams to develop and oversee Banking’s Client Services model for Europe ensuring alignment with risk, compliance, and strategic objectives
  • Responsible for overall client service and delivery across European banking clients
  • Partners with RMs and ensures issues are communicated and escalated in a timely manner both internally and with the client(s)
  • Responsible for project planning for key client deliverables and communicating updates to all relevant internal and external parties
  • Provide support for RM tasks such as call reporting, KYC requirements, at risk reporting, issues reporting, client survey administration, etc.
  • Responsible for Treasury Passport onboarding and training
  • Provides day to day support on account and transaction support including Treasury Passport, fees, interest and reporting
  • Oversees key business KPIs including dormant accounts, accounts payable, interest rates based on client deposits and more

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Extensive years of experience with expertise in Client Services, Project Management and/or Banking
  • Technical knowledge of banking usually acquired through related work experience is required to manage overall client service
  • Knowledge of general finance and Institutional Funds is helpful in consulting on client needs
  • Self-starter with the ability to function independently in a fast-paced, dynamic and demanding environment
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
