ETL Developer

Job Description:

Skills - Essential

  • Data Transformation and ETL – AWS Glue
  • Development experience in the Amazon Cloud Environment AWS (S3, AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift, Data Lake)
  • Ability to perform data manipulations, load, extract from several sources of data into another schema
  • Understanding of core AWS services, and basic AWS architecture best practices.
  • Create ETL jobs using Python/PySpark to fulfil the requirements
  • Proficiency in developing, deploying, and debugging cloud-based data assets.
  • Ability to understand requirements and changes to requirements
  • Knowledge and experience of modem software design and development methodologies & frameworks (e.g. Agile/Scrum)
  • Should be self-motivated and be able to work in a team and drive the team to success
  • Flexible to learn and adapt to new technologies and skills needed in the project
  • Strong communication skills - in onsite / offshore engagement models

Skills - Desirable

  • Work hands-on in QlikView / Qlik Sense development
  • Experience of Qlik Compose


Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e., Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Typically, 6+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 2+ years in a similar role years of experience in software engineering
• Proficiency in 1 or more software languages and development methodologies
• Strong programming and debugging skills
• Some prior experience in a leadership or mentoring capacity
• Familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to learn and grow in a leadership role
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Other Qualifications:
• Advanced degree in a related field is a plus
• Relevant certifications or training a plus
