We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Associate Technical Project Manager to join our dynamic team. 

About the Resource management team

Resource Management at ETIC works closely with stakeholders to respond to resource management activities, ensuring the right resource is allocated for the job request, at the right time. As a Resource Manager, you will also play a pivotal role in supporting and managing your stakeholders and ensuring operational excellence and effective capacity planning deployment.

About the role

The Resource Manager is responsible for managing a team that will work closely with key stakeholders and onshore resourcing teams to forecast resource requirements, identify skill gaps, and ensure that the right people are deployed to the right projects at the right time.

The Manager and SA/A roles will act as a critical link between project teams and business operations, analysing workforce trends, overseeing resource planning tools, and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.

These roles are crucial for ensuring that the right talent is available at the right time to meet project and operational demands while optimising workforce efficiency. You will collaborate closely with onshore resourcing teams, project managers, business leads, and senior leadership to manage critical resourcing data for the onshore resourcing teams.

The ideal resource manager will have strong analytical skills, experience in resource management, strong communication and attention to detail and the ability to balance short-term needs with long-term workforce planning. They will also need experience of line management.

This role provides the opportunity to drive operational excellence, influence strategic decision-making, and enhance workforce productivity in a growing and dynamic organization.

Core Responsibilities

Resource Planning

  • Leadership reporting, to provide insight and trends to resourcing team, and to key stakeholders within the Business Unit.
  • Execute and manage operational processes to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and completeness to deliver sustainable, high-quality information.
  • Conduct analysis of key operational metrics to support management and leadership to identify actions required.
  • Proactively identify improvement opportunities and propose practical, data-driven solutions to enhance processes, reporting accuracy, or stakeholder outcomes.
  • Provide responsive and professional administrative support to the Resource Management community.

Budget & Billing Management

  • Provide reports on resource allocation, utilization, and operational efficiency.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Act as a bridge between different teams, ensuring clear communication about resource availability and needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Build and develop strong and effective relationships with colleagues working across the UK.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on workforce strategy.

Risk Management:

  • Early identification and action to address issues that may adversely impact on delivery, using appropriate escalation protocols, where necessary.
  • Share knowledge and best practice across the team.

Process Improvement & Data Analysis

  • Producing regular, standardised Management Information (MI) to provide insight and trends to Resource Managers and senior stakeholders, helping to drive business growth.
  • Performing regular data integrity checks/data cleansing in our workforce planning system to deliver sustainable, high quality information.
  • Update and maintain key systems with business critical data to support the management of headcount budgets and forecasts on a regular basis.
  • Using existing and emerging technologies to process a range of RM related data to ensure that critical business activities are cascaded and/or completed in a timely manner.

Skills:

  • Demonstrable experience of workforce planning, resourcing, recruitment or project management experience within a professional environment
  • Evidence of well refined communication skills
  • An ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with an ability to communicate and negotiate across all levels of the business
  • Able to plan prioritise, multitask and manage a significant workload under pressure
  • Must be comfortable and confident with systems – Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
  • Knowledge of manpower planning systems would be advantageous but not essential
  • Ability to work independently and across multiple workstreams
  • Planning and/or Scheduling skills
  • Maintain high attention to detail, especially when processing high volumes of work
  • Actively manage expectations and escalate where necessary
  • Actively seek and identify opportunities for development
  • Time management and organisational skills
  • Resilient and proactive with a positive, agile attitude towards changing demands and peaks/troughs in workload.
