About the role:

At Bunnings, we’re passionate about doing the right thing – for our customers, our suppliers, and the communities we’re part of.

As Ethical Sourcing Manager, you’ll take the lead in shaping and delivering our ethical sourcing strategy by partnering closely with the Bunnings buying team and suppliers to drive continuous improvement in social and environmental practices across our supply chain.

You’ll be driving initiatives that protect our brand, influence industry practices, and create meaningful impact.

What’s involved:

  • Lead and develop a team of coordinators, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth

  • Partner with suppliers and internal teams to implement and improve ethical sourcing standards across all channels

  • Oversee compliance with the Australian Modern Slavery Act and manage audit programs, reporting, and corrective actions

  • Provide insights and advice to senior leaders on human rights trends and ethical sourcing initiatives

  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, systems, and reporting to strengthen our program and reduce risk

  • Represent Bunnings in stakeholder forums and industry discussions, helping us stay ahead of global developments

About You:

You’re someone who brings clarity and confidence to complex challenges. You know how to lead with purpose, inspire your team, and keep things moving in a fast-changing environment.

You’ll join a team that values integrity, respect, and teamwork – and you’ll work closely with sourcing, merchandising, and compliance experts across Australia and New Zealand.

Collaboration is key, and so is your ability to adapt, think critically, and communicate clearly.

You’ll need:

  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of building high-performing teams

  • At least 5 years in ethical sourcing, sustainability, or responsible sourcing roles – retail experience is advantageous

  • Strong understanding of human rights frameworks, international standards, and audit processes

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels

  • Analytical mindset and confidence working with complex data and reporting requirements

You’ll be part of a workplace where you’ll feel like you belong.
