ETF Capital Markets, Manager/Senior Manager

The Opportunity
The Senior Manager, ETF Capital Markets will be a leader in Dimensional’s EMEA ETF capital markets team, overseeing the UCITS ETF platform, including primary and secondary market monitoring, managing relationships within the ETF ecosystem, leading and collaborating on internal efforts to deliver Dimensional’s investment approach, and providing education and support to clients and internal stakeholders. The role requires expertise in ETF capital markets and effective leadership and relationship management skills. You will be responsible for regional strategy, all daily tasks and work closely with the Head of ETF Capital Markets on high impact initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Investments
- Ensure competitive ETF market quality in EMEA listings; monitor day-to-day ETF market quality including volume, primary flows, premiums/discounts, short interest and borrow and identify trends.
- Work closely with the broker dealer community to promote efficient primary and secondary market activity in Dimensional UCITS ETFs.
- Lead design and adaptation of ETF capital markets workflows and processes to EMEA markets.
- Manage business processes and operational requirements for ETF Capital Markets platform.
- Report on key performance indicators of market quality, flows, and business processes to global ETF capital markets leadership.
- Collaborate with investment teams, legal and compliance to create and maintain alignment with all local market UCITS ETF rules, policies, and procedures.
- Document key functions and best practices for Dimensional UCITS ETFs including the development/maintenance of a comprehensive procedure manual.
Relationship Management
- Lead relationships with partners in the ETF capital markets ecosystem, including authorised participants, market makers, trading platforms and exchanges.
- Manage relationships with vendors pursuant to pricing and trading data while contributing to the build out of new tools and processes to monitor the ETFs and identify future capabilities.
External Presence
- Provide education to clients, prospects and intermediaries on ETF liquidity and effectively communicate information relating to trading ETFs and associated costs.
- Partner with the Investment Solutions Group and Global Client Group to support business growth and to respond to client inquiries related to UCITS ETFs.
- Work with internal partners to create educational materials for UCITS ETFs.
- Participate in client and industry events and conferences to promote UCITS ETFs.
Leadership
- Serve as ETF expert for Dimensional’s EMEA offices.
- Develop partnerships and strengthen cross-collaboration across internal teams from portfolio management, trading, operations, investment solutions, and all other internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate execution of key initiatives and projects within the ETF Capital Markets platform across functional groups.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, and a Masters or CFA, is preferred.
- Financial services experience, extensive UCITS ETF experience preferred.
- Alignment with Dimensional’s investment philosophy.
- Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally; influence and collaborate effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate and present to the organisation externally.
- Ability to drive results and operate independently.
- Experience with the broader global market ecosystem.
- Knowledge of a range of asset classes including equities, fixed income, and FX.
- Comfort with ambiguity and proven ability to structure problems and develop analytical frameworks.
- Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
- Strong technical skills (Excel, Bloomberg, etc.)
- Limited travel (<25%).
