Job Description:
As operational leader of the Surface Treatment & Corrosion Protection Team of ETXLM you will:
- Manage the activities of a transnational team (13 FTE), located on 3 sites (MAR, PLB, DON) and supported by a large external workforce (approx. 25 FTE), managing approx. 60.000 h of workload yearly.
- Refer on a large scope of activities: Technical support to Production, to Design Office, Qualification activities, Obsolescence, Special process audits (qualification and monitoring), R&D, R&T, applying to Surface Treatments used for Corrosion protection of Metallic Materials (chemical and electro-chemical protection of steel, stainless steel, titanium, aluminium and magnesium parts)
- Support this team in terms of workload management, deliverables, OTD, OTQ, in close link with the PMO team
- Support and advise team members in relation with workload, backlog of activities, priorization, subcontracting, based on the type of projects (short, middle, long-term) and strategical aspects (make of buy)
- Promote the harmonization of processes, specifications and instruction on the surface treatment perimeter
- Have the overview on all affairs handled within the team, ensure update of delivery tools
- Support the securization of budgets and negotiation of budgets for backlog topics
- Follow and ensure to meet commitments taken towards internal customers as well as regular feedback, communication, progress review
- Be in close exchange with the Department HO, cascade information to the team following weekly management meetings, organize hot topic management within the team and the department when transverse
- Ensure proximity with customers, via trust relationship, feedback loop and commitment mindset
- In close contact with the experts of the domain, propose and orient technical development activities of the team, concretize project proposals, aligned with R&T roadmaps
- Maintain and use the group network, in support to the team Métier development (OneM&P, AiC, ADS, CRT) and potential gap recovery needs
- Perform regular F2F meeting with each team member, in presential and remote, advise on skills development, on irritant resolution and organizational topic.
- Accompany each team member in her/his development journey in the company, perform individual development talk
- Perform regular travels to all AH sites to ensure team proximity, maintain team dynamic along the year, organize yearly team cascading and regular objectives review.
A first experience of team leader is a MUST and also solid competencies in surface treatment and corrosion.
Required skills:
Good to very good knowledge in materials and corrosion protection systems for metallic components, based on the team portfolio (anodizing, chemical treatment, electrolytic protections).
Organizational skill, capacity to handle various topics at the same time, capacity to listen, motivate and develop people.
Capacity to address team irritants, put in place team improvement actions.
Willingness to travel at a regular frequency to all sites where the team is present (MAR, DON, PLB, to some extent AH Hungary)
