About the Opportunity

ACCIONA is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our Adelaide‑based pre‑contracts team. This role will support bids and tenders across a diverse portfolio of projects, including but not limited to civil infrastructure, utilities, structures and Major defence programs of work.

You will work closely with engineering, construction and commercial teams to develop competitive, high‑quality tenders, contributing to the continued growth of ACCIONA’s regional project pipeline.

Due to project requirements, applicants must be Australian Citizens.

Key accountabilities

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for large‑scale infrastructure projects
• Analyse project drawings, specifications and scope documentation
• Quantify materials, labour, plant and subcontractor requirements
• Obtain, assess and evaluate supplier and subcontractor pricing
• Assist with bid and tender submissions, including cost plans and value engineering
• Identify project risks, opportunities and cost efficiencies
• Review construction methodologies and provide buildability input
• Support tender‑to‑delivery handover to project teams
• Maintain estimating databases, benchmarks and supporting documentation

• A tertiary qualification in civil engineering, construction management or similar
• 5-10 years’ experience as an Estimator within civil construction
• Ability to estimate across multiple disciplines, including civil, structural and utilities
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail
• Experience working within structured tender and governance environments
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across disciplines
• Australian Citizenship (mandatory due to defence project requirements)
