The ESSM Portfolio has an opening for a Business Operations Manager position reporting to the ESSM Portfolio Director.   This position will support program leadership as a member of the program leadership team, and work with the respective integrated program managers and cross product teams. 

The Business Operations Manager is responsible for driving program execution, alignment, and cadence through coordination of schedule/event management and direct engagement with the program teams and functional partners. In pursuit of day-to-day program cadence excellence, this role must work assigned tasks quickly, efficiently, effectively, and proactively identify priorities and areas for improvement. The PEM will also coordinate program and customer interactions to optimize program effectiveness and facilitate an effective working environment. 

ESSM is a large, global program in need of daily oversight ensuring communications, cadence and integration are sustained as a top priority.

**This position will be onsite at our East Herman's Road, Bldg. 810 facility in Tucson, Arizona.

Will You Will Do:

  • Partner with ESSM LT to ensure day-to-day program execution cadence (battle rhythm), (ex. Manage aspects of projects and special assignments)
  • Prepare the ESSM Portfolio communication messaging for delivery to the Shipboard Missile SSBU & Naval Power Leadership Team
  • Coordinate, plan, and manage strategic meetings for the ESSM Portfolio such as Town Halls, All Hands, skip levels, program planning, orientation and key customer engagements
  • Develop and manage product area webpage as well as onboarding and orientation programs
  • Manage and drive day-to-day program execution cadence (battle rhythm) of the portfolio
  • Capture and track program action items to completion and work with action owners to ensure timely satisfactory closure of actions, including actions owed to senior leadership above the program level
  • Identify and drive actions needed for key program assessments and metrics
  • Prepare, revise, update, and monitor required documentation and analysis in compliance with contract requirements and Raytheon’s Lifecycle Product Management (RLPM), such as gate reviews and the GEM tool, the program earned value management system (EVMS), and both corporate- and business-level policies and procedures
  • Prepare the ESSM Portfolio communication messaging for delivery to the Shipboard Missile SSBU & Naval Power Leadership Team
  • Facilitate discussions across the program team to develop program strategies toward major milestones.
  • Coordinate, plan, and manage strategic meetings for the ESSM Portfolio such as Town Halls, All Hands, skip levels, program planning, orientation and key customer engagements
  • Coordinate customer program reviews, prepare for customer visits.
  • Develop and maintain Program Management Plans and Program Directives, consistent with program requirements and Raytheon policies.
  • Develop and manage product area webpage as well as onboarding and orientation programs
  • Develop program-enhancing partnerships with internal functional organizations (typically organized into integrated product teams (IPTs) and/or cross product teams (CPTs)) including but not limited to Engineering, Contracts, Finance, Procurement/Supply Chain, Manufacturing/Operations, Quality Management, Logistics, Data Management (CDRL support), and administrative functions.
  • Display strong communication, influence management, and presentation skills, and comfortably interact with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels of leadership.
  • Set budgetary guidelines and directs the performance of Portfolio Overhead allocation
  • Support the program risk and opportunity process, in accordance with specific financial goals and obligations
  • Ability to confidently interface and influence at all levels within the organization
  • Ability to travel as needed

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years’ experience
  • Prior program, project or business management experience
  • Prior experience working cross functionally (i.e.: Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance etc.)

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Prior experience supporting, preferably owning and driving, program execution needs
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to drive priorities in a fast-pace, dynamic program
  • Effective influential communicator
  • Experience working with cross functional teams and across teams to achieve a designated end goal
  • Previous experience supporting programs and office spaces in a classified environment, with demonstrated knowledge of security practices to include open / close procedures
  • Experience in scheduling, operating, and securing classified telecommunication systems (video and voice)
  • Demonstrated experience with Global Trade/ITAR compliance
  • Experience operating in an Agile environment
  • Experience conducting international business and managing cross-cultural communication

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
