Job Title: ESO Supply Operations Manager

About the Role

We are looking for an ESO Supply Operations Manager to support and manage end‑to‑end operational relationships with an assigned portfolio of external suppliers. This role is a key interface between suppliers, markets, logistics, quality, and internal supply chain teams, ensuring supply continuity, operational execution excellence, and continuous improvement.

Reporting into the Supplier Relationship Director, the ESO Supply Operations Manager plays a critical role in translating supply plans into executable operations, managing order flows, resolving issues, and ensuring high service levels across global markets.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier & Stakeholder Management

  • Support the Supplier Relationship Director in developing, maintaining, and continuously improving the operational relationship and performance of assigned external suppliers
  • Serve as the first point of contact for assigned suppliers for all operational aspects of the business relationship
  • Lead Tier #1 meetings with external suppliers to review firm-period Master Production Plans (MPP)
  • Act as escalation owner for Tier #2 supply operations issues, ensuring timely resolution and follow‑up
  • Contribute to business reviews with assigned suppliers

Supply Planning & Market Interface

  • Work closely with the ESO Supply Chain Manager to align short‑, medium‑, and long‑term supply planning (3–24 months)
  • Monitor, prevent, and mitigate out‑of‑stock risks, coordinating with suppliers, markets, and internal teams
  • Provide short‑term supply visibility to markets and support feasibility assessments for firm‑period changes

Order Management & Logistics Execution

  • Manage order flows and ensure compliance with virtual depot stock levels
  • Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment, including coordination of physical shipments
  • Accountable for:
    • Creation and management of the shippable units plan
    • NEXUS-related activities in collaboration with logistics partners and back‑office providers
  • Follow up on orders and shipments and communicate status to key stakeholders (Supply Chain, Quality, MS&T, Distribution, Regions, GBU)
  • Resolve order management and logistics issues in coordination with the ESO Logistics Coordinator and freight forwarders

S&OP, Quality & Product Lifecycle Support

  • Contribute to monthly external S&OP for strategic suppliers and S&OP for tactical suppliers at defined frequencies
  • Support investigations into quality deviations, primarily logistics-related, in collaboration with the ESO Quality Manager
  • Support the ESO Product Lifecycle Manager on:
    • New Product Introductions (NPI)
    • Product changes
    • Geo-expansion and artwork management
  • Support MS&T teams during first commercial batch production to ensure successful product launches

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive and lead continuous improvement initiatives across:
    • Order management
    • Internal and external communication
    • Logistics and shipment execution
  • Identify opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels
  • Actively participate in cross‑functional initiatives, balancing base business and project demands

  • High attention to detail, especially in reporting and operational execution

Education & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in supply chain operations, logistics, or order management
  • Demonstrated experience managing external supplier relationships
  • Solid understanding of supply chain principles, regulations, and industry best practices

Preferred

  • APICS certification
  • Lean, Six Sigma, Process Excellence, or PMP certification
  • Experience in a regulated or complex operational environment (e.g., pharma, life sciences, FMCG)
