The OneRTX Process & Systems Transformation Program will harmonize key business processes, associated tools, metrics, and reporting across the company, enabling the migration of capabilities into standardized ERP systems. RTX has chosen SAP’s S/4HANA to enable our future ERP system and has largely concluded the strategic definition and design phase and is now entering the initial blueprinting, build and support phases. 

This role is responsible for supporting the successful delivery within each phase of the program: 

  • Blueprint – detailed design for processes, utilizing best practices and maximizing process harmonization opportunities; evaluation of gaps and making scope decisions. 

  • Build – collaborate with an integrated team of external resources and internal RTX team members in the configuration and development of system capabilities. 

  • Testing – support the creation and execution of test scenarios and scripts; work alongside business leaders and testers to ensure proper functionality and defect resolution. 

  • Cutover & Hypercare – support successful migration from legacy systems to new environments. Support go-live and the continuation of RTX business’ financial and operational performance. 

You are the ideal candidate if you have experience working within an organization that is responsible for driving large scale, complex programs and projects related to business process and system transformation, ideally ERP implementation using SAP’s S/4HANA solution. 

What You Will Do:

  • Serve as the functional digital lead for Time & Attendance & Payroll within the S/4 transformation program.

  • Act as the primary digital contact for ERP Transformation leadership, partnering with Finance, RTX Business Units & HR/Payroll to drive alignment.

  • Lead solution design decisions across Payroll, Time Management, and related integrations.

  • Translate business requirements into clear system capabilities, configuration approaches, and integration patterns.

  • Oversee design workshops, configuration reviews, and solution validations with system integrators.

  • Own the end-to-end digital solution architecture supporting Time Evaluation, Payroll and Timekeeping processes.

  • Ensure the solution supports accurate payroll processing, time capture, compliance, and financial integration.

  • Define and maintain the target state digital architecture for Payroll and Time Management within the S/4 ecosystem.

  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, and integration standards.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience OR in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience

  • Experience with SAP Time Management and Time Evaluation (from time capture to validation to payroll and final posting)

  • Experience with S4 R2R (Record-to-Report)

  • Ability to travel approximately 30%

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Strong understanding of Time Evaluation and Payroll processes and other R2R adjacent areas including but not limited to: Finance Master Data, Allocations, FP&A, Financial Reporting, Tax, Treasury, Intercompany, G/L, Fixed Assets, Payroll, Period Close & Consolidation, Project Accounting, Revenue Recognition

  • Program Management:  ability to plan, manage & deliver across numerous bodies of work helping to translate business needs into system requirements and process improvements. 

  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP systems including system configuration, data management, and reporting capabilities; S/4 time evaluation and ADP integrations preferred

  • Experience working on large, complex A&D enterprise projects -- or similarly regulated, large organization 

  • Experience with agile frameworks/iterative approaches to software development and implementation projects​ 

  • Curiosity and Innovation: create a culture of innovation and strive to adopt solutions which allow RTX to grow and utilize new technologies. 

  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

  • Compliance Mindset: Familiarity with financial regulations, controls, and security measures. Experience implementing and maintaining compliance standards within an ERP system. 

  • Cross functional leadership and influence with HR / Payroll / Digital Technology

Role Type: Remote

This position is currently designated as remote. However, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories). Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
