The Business Analyst Financial Consolidation serves as a crucial bridge between financial reporting requirements and IT solutions. He possesses in-depth knowledge of the business domain, relevant technologies, and organizational strategy to provide holistic, enterprise-wide consulting advice. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, testing, and optimizing the financial consolidation software solutions, ensuring that complex group consolidation processes are efficient, accurate, and compliant. You maintain system integrity, and support the closing process. While maintaining and supporting our current financial consolidation solution is essential, you also largely contribute to consolidation system transformation initiatives.
Description of the area
The ERP Financial Consolidation team supports the financial consolidation process by managing, configuring, and maintaining the software solutions. The team is embarking on a strategic project to replace our legacy Financial Consolidation system (i.e. SAP FC) with the OneStream. This transformation is driven by the upcoming end-of-life for SAP FC and a commitment to leveraging advanced automation and intelligence to enhance financial consolidation, reporting, and analysis across our global operations.
Job Responsibilities:
Scope: Supports and maintains the Financial Consolidation solutions end-to-end. Oversees initiatives with autonomy, coordinating complexity and scale..
Accountability: Configures the software for, or adapts it to, new accounting requirements, changes in business structure, and new reporting standards (IFRS), in collaboration with Group Consolidation function. Ensures the closing process runs smoothly while actively participating in a helpdesk team providing support to application users. Ensures seamless data flow into and out of the financial consolidation system.
Collaboration: Collaborates closely with the corresponding business counterparts such as: Group Consolidation, Group Tax and Insurance, Group Accounting and Controlling.
Impact/Strategy: Drives significant impact on projects by ensuring the delivery of high-value solutions that align with business strategy. Leads the evaluation of strategic solution options, including advanced value analysis and risk assessment, and actively shapes long-term roadmaps.
Business / Technical ability: Uses in-depth knowledge of the business or technical domain and relevant technologies to inform business strategies.
Qualifications
Education / Experience
7+ years of hands-on mastery administering, developing and managing financial consolidation systems or implementing EPM projects (particularly OneStream) and with a track record of driving improvements and leveraging technology to enhance reporting quality and efficiency.
In-depth understanding of Financial Consolidation topics, month-end close processes and ability to hold discussions with business counterparts.
Extensive experience overseeing initiatives with autonomy, coordinating complexity and scale, and driving alignment across highly ambiguous spaces.
Demonstrated advanced knowledge of Business Analysis Advisory/Consultancy concepts and practices.
Business-focused, results-oriented approach with excellent coordination, exceptional problem-solving, and analytical skills, with a mindset to challenge assumptions, resolve discrepancies and ensure integrity of consolidated results.
Proactive mindset, accountable, and capable of taking ownership end-to-end while coaching others to elevate team performance.
Team and hands-on working style, good organisational skills, autonomous and reliable.
Ability to work effectively in a project-oriented, fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams.
Exceptional communication and influencing skills.
Business fluent English language skills (written and spoken).
Technical Skills
3+ years hands-on experience in implementing, configuring and developing reporting within the OneStream platform.
Understanding of modern software architecture, integration tools, and methods (e.g., Data Connectors, APIs, ETL solutions).
Able to engage with and master technologies, including but not limited to OneStream, Excel, VBA, SQL and SharePoint.
Proficiency in VB.net, specifically for developing complex Business Rules for calculations, validations, and data transformations.
Ability to create technical design documents, and facilitate or validate system and user acceptance testing.
Ability to apply systems thinking to provide holistic and enterprise-wide consulting advice.
Additional Qualifications
Strong stakeholder management skills, acting as a role model in teamwork and driving good collaboration across Informatics and business structures.
Ability to participate in knowledge transfer to build internal capacity, advising, and training the internal team on the new application.
