We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Erection Superintendent to lead the construction execution of this landmark project. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all operational activities associated with the proprietary launching gantry girder used to erect precast concrete segments, ensuring safe, precise, and efficient performance.
The successful candidate will bring a strong technical foundation, proven leadership in complex construction environments, and the ability to guide and coordinate multidisciplinary crews. Essential Responsibilities:
- Management, direction and coordination of personnel and activities relating to the overhead launching gantry girder—including, but not necessarily restricted to onsite equipment assembly, load testing, launching, erection of segments, post-tensioning, load transfer, equipment maintenance, etc
- Provide training to and performance testing of local equipment operators (and ancillary personnel) on all relevant processes, methodologies, best practices and safety requirements relating to the assembly, commissioning and operation of the overhead launching gantry girder equipment, and enforcement of all applicable safety requirements and specifications
- Development, implementation and enforcement of short-term schedules for equipment supervisors and operators, identification and reporting of operational, scheduling and other issues
- Establish and maintain good relations with all the Unions involved on the Job, coordination the manpower hiring process, and manage all conflicts that could occur on the daily operations
- Coordinating with Quality Control Manager to clarify project specifications and perform erection works according to the project design documents and quality control plan
- Overseeing precast deck segments transport and erection, PT (bars and cables) installation
- Conferring with and directs supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays
- Ensuring construction is in accordance with its defining documents (i.e. plans, standards, Work Methods, etc.)
- Will be involved in pre-construction estimates and budgets. As the project progresses, we will monitor expenses to ensure that they are meeting budget and Work Plans, informing the Project Controller
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the market, the solutions/services the company can provide, and the company’s competitors
- Knowledge of general construction with a good understanding of civil, infrastructural, MEP works, etc
- Ability to organize activities in the framework of the process managed.
- Ability to evaluate make-or-buy decisions
- Knowledge of construction cost estimating, construction scheduling, strong understanding of construction drawings
- Knowledge of labor costs in construction, uses, techniques and costs of materials
- Experience on similar roles within construction and engineering field/projects
Compensation
$106,800.00 - $146,850.00
This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
