The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated ERAD Technician / Logistics Coordinator to join our growing Client Services team. In this dual-role position, you will primarily serve as an onsite ERAD Technician, providing critical support in secure data destruction operations at a data center. As a secondary function, you will assist with logistics coordination for asset shipments and inventory movement to and from our facilities. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, demonstrates meticulous attention to detail, and can adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Primary Responsibilities: Onsite ERAD Technician
As the primary focus of your role, you will be responsible for supporting and executing secure data eradication and media destruction processes, ensuring the highest standards of data protection and compliance for one of our most important clients.
Serve as an on-site technician at a data center to support ERAD (Data Eradication) processes.
Handle confidential data-bearing devices with the utmost security and integrity.
Follow all certified ERAD protocols and guidelines for secure media sanitization and destruction.
Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams, data center personnel, and client stakeholders.
Track and document all eradication activities using internal systems and tools.
Support continuous improvement of ERAD operations, providing feedback and contributing to best practices.
Operate tools and machinery required for media handling and physical destruction.
Ensure compliance with client SLAs and Iron Mountain policies related to security, safety, and data integrity.
Secondary Responsibilities: Logistics Coordination
In addition to your ERAD duties, you will contribute to logistics operations by coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, managing inventory records, and ensuring that all logistics activities run smoothly.
Coordinate domestic and international shipments with client logistics teams and distribution centers.
Maintain internal logistics systems and documentation, including Bills of Lading, process sheets, and shipping manifests.
Monitor warehouse activity in the WMS system; track inbound/outbound shipments and ensure accurate inventory data.
Reconcile inventory discrepancies, support audits, and assist with process improvements.
Build and maintain relationships with third-party transportation and recycling vendors.
Collaborate with accounting to review and validate logistics invoices and charges.
Generate and distribute weekly/monthly inventory and logistics performance reports.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
2–3 years in a client services, logistics, or technical support role (preferably within a data center environment).
Previous experience with inventory control, data security, or IT asset management highly preferred.
Familiarity with ERAD protocols, reverse logistics, or R2-compliant destruction practices a plus.
Strong technical aptitude with Microsoft Office, Google Suite (especially Excel/Sheets), WMS, and ERP systems.
Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
Valid driver’s license and ability to drive rental vehicles as needed.
Ability to lift 40 lbs. and work on your feet in warehouse and data center environments.
Willingness and ability to travel domestically (approx. 10% per year).
