About the Role
Within the Global Product organization, the Equity Product Analyst is responsible for supporting the Head of Equity Product and Equity Product Managers in the analysis and communication required to optimize product management and development activities relating to the T. Rowe Price (TRP) equity suite of products. These efforts include analysis of the external market and competitors, as well as internal equity product analysis. The role requires the ability to source internal and industry data, transform that data into insightful analysis, and clearly and succinctly communicate conclusions.
Role Summary
This position supports product strategy, management, development, and positioning for T. Rowe Price equity products. The Equity Product Analyst partners with Investments, Global Product, and Distribution on various equity product-related projects and provides ongoing product management support. Responsibilities include conducting research, analysis, and reporting on product, market, and competitor trends using internal and external databases and resources to inform product strategy and related projects. The Equity Product Analyst shares analysis and insights with internal teams for review, identifies issues, analyzes alternative approaches, and supports cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
Responsibilities
Analyze, research, and support product development/enhancement initiatives, strategic road maps, and product health checks. Complete activities outlined in the product development process and conduct focused research on specific topics such as market trends and competitive positioning.
Craft analysis into comprehensive reporting that highlights key findings and implications for TRP product development. May participate in presenting analysis.
Build knowledge of TRP equity products, the marketplace (competitor and client landscape), and the roles of various internal teams involved in the development and management of investment strategies.
Provide general assistance and coverage to product managers, sharing in day-to-day tasks and straightforward aspects of project-oriented duties. Act as a point of contact for internal inquiries and escalate findings or issues to more senior staff as needed.
Work across investments, distribution, operations, and corporate divisions to investigate a variety of topics.
Where applicable, work with internal groups (portfolio specialists, sales, and marketing teams) on effectiveness of product collateral.
Utilize data analysis techniques to interpret and report on key business metrics, providing actionable insights to drive business performance.
Leverage AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency and data analysis within daily responsibilities.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
2+ years of total relevant work experience within financial services
Preferred:
Knowledge of TRP equity investment strategies, markets, and competitive offerings
Strong analytical skills with ability to gather meaningful data and synthesize it to represent a story
Initiative and creativity to take conceptual instructions or guidance and create accessible and repeatable exhibits or reports
Proficiency in Excel, with experience leveraging functions, data analysis tools, and complex modeling
Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including CoPilot and PowerPoint, with ability to create/edit presentations
Experience in third party investment data providers a plus (e.g. Morningstar Direct, eVestment)
Professional curiosity to identify and pursue new opportunities
Experience executing product strategy, development, and management work, with a track record of delivering positive outcomes and commercial results
Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Enthusiastic and optimistic with a drive to succeed and willingness to take managed risks
Ability to manage time and shifting priorities effectively while in a challenging operating environment, and under minimal guidance

Work Flexibility
This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.

Base Salary Ranges

$77,000.00 - $131,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workersPlacement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
