Equities Delta One Flow Trader – Single Stock Flow (SSF) & Corporate Events Trading (CEFT)

Citi's Markets business stands as a global leader, providing world-class solutions and unparalleled access across nearly 80 countries. Our client-facing, revenue-generating division offers extensive trading and execution capabilities spanning diverse asset classes like Commodities, Equities, Rates, and Spread Products, alongside our market-leading FX franchise. As a critical engine within the firm, Citi Markets empowers corporations, institutional investors, and governments with innovative financial products and services, driving global commerce and investment.

This junior role offers a dynamic entry into Citi's EMEA Corporate Events Flow Trading (CEFT) and Single Stock Flow (SSF) team within Delta One. You will be instrumental in optimizing Equities & Prime Brokerage inventory through the expert trading of single stock derivatives, with a particular focus on dividend and corporate action dates. This position provides an exceptional opportunity to develop deep market understanding, hone quantitative skills, and contribute directly to P&L generation and risk management within a critical area of our Front Office Markets division. The role is ideal for a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual eager to make a tangible impact in a fast-paced trading environment.

What you will do will be varied day to day, but the key drivers for the role are:

  • Proactively manage and mitigate risks across trading books, ensuring accuracy in P&L reporting and reconciliation.

  • Execute OTC and listed trades with counterparties and through inter-dealer brokers to effectively manage the firm's inventory, adhering strictly to transaction terms, approvals, and restrictions.

  • Collaborate with stock loan and funding desks to build synthetic short coverage, enhancing balances and improving the efficiency of delta one and wider equities financing.

  • Work closely with derivatives and delta one sales teams to service single stock futures clients, fulfilling pricing requests and aligning with client growth strategies.

  • Provide expert pricing for prime brokerage and synthetic prime brokerage positions related to dividends, offering crucial insights into liquidity and corporate action complexities to prime sales trading.

  • Optimize corporate action elections across all firm positions, adeptly managing conflicting stakeholder interests to mitigate risk and capitalize on revenue opportunities.

  • Partner with technology teams to enhance trading systems, thereby increasing efficiency, improving operational processes, and strengthening controls within the desk.

What we will need from you:

  • A degree in a numerical (STEM) subject is preferred, demonstrating a strong foundation in analytical and quantitative disciplines.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills are essential for risk management, trade execution, and strategic decision-making.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, or VBA is preferred, to support system enhancements and data analysis.

  • Effective interpersonal skills are required to develop and maintain robust relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

What We Offer:

By joining Citi London, you will not only be part of a business casual workplace with a hybrid working model (up to 2 days working at home per week), but also receive a competitive base salary (which is annually reviewed), and enjoy a whole host of additional benefits such as:
