About the role:

To work within the Equipment Engineering Team supporting all Manufacturing areas within Glenrothes and Livingston, including CCA and Unit Build Assembly area producing low to medium volume / high mix, high reliability, electronic circuit card assemblies and systems.

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Knowledge of Electronic industry, fundamentals of ESD, calibration and equipment maintenance.

Desirable

  • HNC/HND in a related engineering discipline, with experience in Equipment Engineering

Competencies

  • Demonstrate accountability for equipment / process performance
  • Be a good communicator
  • Demonstrate technical knowledge of relevant equipment and processes 
  • Ability to plan and prioritise work by use of Maintenance Management System

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities/ budget/people summary of main activities:

  • Responsible for all ESD compliance checks throughout Manufacturing
  • Responsible for calibration requirements for Equipment Engineering group.
  • Repair and maintenance of equipment within the CCA and Unit Build Assembly areas
  • Be active in Equipment Engineering problem solving, and demonstrate a proactive and continuous improvement approach to maximise availability, predictability and performance of manufacturing systems
  • Analysis and improvement of manufacturing processes and operating efficiencies
  • Demonstrate good communication skills and accurately document work undertaken, to provide traceability and history of work
  • Conform and supervise conformance to all company/statutory safety regulations and practices.
  • Be flexible with respect to shift rotation and overtime, to support the needs of manufacturing
  • Must be production orientated, and comfortable with changing circumstances and able to cope with a demanding workload
