Equipment Support Team Technician
The Wireless Semiconductor Division (WSD) designs and develops highly integrated, state-of-the-art RF front-end solutions for use in mobile communications and WiFi access points. Together, we’re enabling our customers to distinguish their products using Broadcom’s differentiated RF semiconductors.
The Equipment Support Team (EST) has an opening for a position on C-Shift. As an Equipment Support Team member, you will be responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of fabrication equipment, systems, and structures. This position supports daily operations by troubleshooting issues, completing repairs, and assisting with factory improvement projects. The tasks completed by the EST span six different functional equipment areas: Wets, Photolithography, Dry Etch, CVD, Finish and Test/Metro. The team oversees, maintains, and responds to activities related to the Automated Material Handling System (AMHS).
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Ability to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment, machinery, and building systems.
The candidate will be expected to perform maintenance and assist Operations with error recovery of the AMHS system.
The candidate will be required to use PAPR respiratory breathing protection and personal protective equipment (PPE) for various tasks.
Demonstrated ability to drive assigned tasks to completion on time with attention to detail.
Maintain excellent verbal and written communication skills, and have a strong desire to succeed while being a dedicated team player.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and Broadcom policy.
Keep tools, supplies, and work areas clean and organized.
The preferred candidate must be actively enrolled in the Broadcom employee upskilling program with FRCC, pursuing a two-year associate degree in Automation and Engineering Technology, or actively enrolled in a related field.
Willingness to participate as a member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT/Hazmat/MERT).
Candidates must have a proven positive attendance record.
Must not have been on a Corrective Action Plan in the last year.
1+ years of related experience required.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $21.50 - $26.00 per hour.
This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents.
