Equipment Planning Manager
We are looking for an Equipment Planning Manager to lead global equipment planning across all equipment types, ensuring optimal availability to support customer demand. In this role, you will drive alignment between global planning and regional execution by setting clear evacuation and supply targets, enabling data‑driven decision-making, and establishing a high-performing operating framework.
A key part of the role is close collaboration with the Commercial organisation (both Market and Network Product) to translate demand into actionable equipment plans, ensuring that customer volume commitments can be delivered efficiently and reliably.
You will play a critical role in maintaining a healthy global equipment balance by proactively identifying risks, preventing contingencies, and optimising network utilisation through strong planning principles and performance management systems.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be accountable for ensuring a reliable global equipment position that supports customer delivery and financial outcomes. You will translate demand signals into executable plans, drive strong performance management, and guide regional execution through clear targets and communication. Success in this role relies on your ability to balance short-term operational needs with longer-term network optimisation and risk mitigation.
- Own and optimise global equipment availability across all equipment types through standardised planning processes
- Partner closely with the Commercial organisation to translate demand forecasts and customer commitments into actionable equipment and evacuation plans
- Establish clear direction and alignment for Customer Delivery teams through consistent target-setting and communication
- Drive performance through data-driven metrics, leading indicators, and a structured performance management framework
- Lead and execute large-scale, cross-regional ad hoc volume requests above budget (ROFO)
- Optimise network utilisation to minimise surplus stock and improve overall efficiency
- Lead global contingency planning, including inter-regional and seasonal risk mitigation strategies
- Reduce dependency on contingency measures and associated costs
- Monitor equipment imbalances and proactively adjust evacuation and supply plans
- Ensure supply plans adequately meet demand while maintaining optimal stock levels
- Communicate global equipment health, risks, and performance insights to key stakeholders
- Maintain a forward-looking 3–6 month view on global stock developments and initiate trade-offs or fleet adjustments as needed to support delivery of budgeted demand and minimise cost exposure
