Job Description:
In the role of ‘engineer – equipment model management’, you’d be responsible for the timely quality check and integration of supplier delivered and Airbus created 3D equipment models, supporting the design office and installation office on their tasks and the creation of 3D equipment models on request
The various activities to be performed are:
CAD quality validation & integration
Validate the CAD quality of 3D equipment models using CATIA and Q-checker
Integrate the 3D models in to respective tools and environments (3DQM, 3DCOM, PDMLinkCC etc)
Provide feedback to the design office and the suppliers in case CAD quality issues identified, to make sure correct future deliveries
Modeling of Airbus Specification models
Modeling of Airbus specification models, on behalf of the design offices
Inputs for this modeling can be either a 2D drawing or requirements
Invariant reservation to be performed if the modeling is done by the DO
L3 resolver group for model management BOS
Resolve any incidents raised with respect to model management. The scope of the resolution is for any items below FIN-DS in the 3D product tree
Follow-ups to make sure the equipment flow in the TDM & PLM tools are done correctly
Support to Design office, Installation teams & Suppliers based on request
Assist the design office to check the geometry and dimensions of the equipment design
Assist the installation designer to check and verify the interfaces of the design
Support suppliers on any issues with CAD quality or on-boarding
Re-use of 3D equipment models between programs
