The Role: Equipment Maintenance Technician 

• We are seeking a Equipment maintenance technician at the Yonezawa Plant. 

In this role, you will ensure stable operation of production equipment through planned preventive maintenance, with the goal of minimizing the risk of manufacturing downtime. 

When equipment failures occur, you will perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting and proactively promote improvement activities to prevent recurrence.

In this role you will: 

• Responsible for general equipment maintenance duties under a three-shift work system. 

• Perform periodic inspections and preventive maintenance (PM) on production equipment. 

• Conduct root cause analysis and perform repairs for equipment malfunctions and failures. 

• Maintain and update maintenance, inspection, and equipment management records. 

• Maintenance handover and validation after production equipment startup. 

• Spare parts management and improvement of maintenance plans (PM schedules). 

• Improvement activities in collaboration with manufacturing and process engineering teams. 

• Design jigs and equipment parts using 2D/3D CAD and create drawings.

• 設備トラブル・故障時の原因解析および修理対応 

• 設備保全記録、点検記録、管理台帳の維持・更新 

• 生産設備立上げ後の保全引き継ぎ、妥当性確認 

• スペアパーツ管理、保全計画（PMスケジュール）の改善 

• 製造部門・プロセス技術部門との連携による改善活動 

• 2D／3D CADを用いた治具・設備部品の設計および図面作成 

Traits we believe make a strong candidate: 

• Basic knowledge of machinery and equipment, equivalent to a technical high school or industrial technical college graduate. 

• Hands-on experience in equipment maintenance, production engineering, or manufacturing engineering in the manufacturing industry. 

• Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, production engineering, etc.). 

• Practical experience in root cause analysis and corrective actions for production equipment issues. 

• Basic knowledge in either mechanical, electrical, or control systems (PLC). 

• Experience handling PLCs, sensors, motors, and pneumatic equipment. 

• Experience in developing and improving preventive maintenance (PM) plans. 

• Knowledge of mechanical drawing and practical experience using 2D/3D CAD. 

• Practical experience in designing, manufacturing, and evaluating production jigs. 

• 工業系高卒または工業系専門学校卒業相当の、機械・設備に関する基礎知識をお持ちの方 

• 製造業における設備保全／生産技術／製造技術いずれかの実務経験 

• 関係部門（製造・品質・生産技術など）と連携して業務を進められるコミュニケーション能力 

• 生産設備のトラブル・故障に対する原因解析および是正対応の実務経験 

• 機械、電気、制御（PLC）いずれかの基礎知識 

• PLC、センサー、モーター、空圧機器の取扱経験 

• 予防保全（PM）計画の立案・改善経験 

• 機械製図の知識および2D／3D CADの実務経験 

• 生産治具の設計・製作・評価の実務経験
