At Nexperia Manchester we are strengthening our Equipment Engineering group by hiring a qualified Engineer to join our team of 100+ skilled professionals. If you have hands-on experience maintaining and repairing specialist semiconductor manufacturing equipment—and a strong continuous improvement mindset—we want to hear from you.
As an Equipment Engineer on our Day–Day–Night rotating shift pattern, you’ll play a crucial role in keeping our high‑volume wafer processing equipment running reliably, efficiently, and safely. Nexperia produces over 14,000 semiconductor wafers each week in a fully loaded, high‑volume fab. Working closely with the Equipment Shift Leader and the wider engineering team, you’ll maintain and repair specialist semiconductor tools, directly supporting our manufacturing KPIs.
This is a hands‑on role in a fast‑paced environment where your work will have a clear and tangible impact. You’ll focus on minimising downtime, improving tool performance, and driving continuous improvement across the fab, while maintaining high quality standards, following 5S practices, and adhering to strict health and safety procedures.
